    good enough

The hotel is quite average regarding the atmosphere, the keys are old and authentic, the down side to them that you get only one key even if it's a shared room. The hotel is near the main town, shops, restaurants and all. and I do have to say that the best part of that hotel is the staff and workers ! I salute them for all their hard work and kindness

    Outdated but centrally located

I stayed here on business because I had to visit a convention. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and it is not to expensive. Another plus is the location. Reaching the heart of town takes about 5 minutes by foot. That said, the hotel has a big downside: it is old and outdated. Room looked like time-capsule from the beginning of the 90's. I would say it is ok if you have to stay there, but if not, look for something else. I won't go there again.

    Dated but suffucient

We arrived before check in opened but staff allowed us to leave our bag. They did not check if our room was ready just told us it was too early to check in. The room was on a high floor and had views across the town. The whole place was dated but was clean. The room key was on a very large heavy key fob which was slightly inconvenient. We were told the bar was closed for a private party which was a shame. We slept very well. The bathroom was quite small but had everything we needed. Breakfast is served in a separate restaurant and was a good choice of hot and cold. On arriving back late at night the receptionist made a great effort to find us some diet coke which was greatly appreciated given the lack of 24 hour supermarkets in this town.

HO HO...NO! The hotel that stole Christmas

The architect that designed this hotel has obviously some sort of issues: the entrance will welcome you with 8 comfortable steps and double entrance doors (that would open only towards the outside, so you will be required of some special skills to come up the stairs and open the doors while holding your suitcases). The lifts, apparently descending from the moon and stopping at various different point of the universe, will probably take about 10/15 minutes to bring you up to your room. I would suggest to bring some snacks for the wait (go for twiglets). Once you get on the floor and open the door of your room, you will be welcome of an undefined smell; mix of chlorine, smoke, teenagers sweat and God only knows what else. You will find that you are not alone in your room: black body hair are gracefully stuck in the mattress, pillows, duvets and bathroom floor. I didnt have the chance to meet my roommate, so if you see him say hello. The shower consists basically of a curtain around a shower drain in the floor, VERY close to the toilet. VERY close to the toilet. VERY. The hairdryer has been attached to the wall at about 2 meters from the floor: So I would suggest to bring with you that lovely pair of d Louboutins 7 décolleté (nude color is the best) to reach it and be able to dry your hair. If you are a straight man, ask your partner or best friend to lend you a pair. A 1lt bottle of coke at the bar costed 7.50: its like to sit in a Cafe in Piazza San Marco in Venice, but with no water, no Churches, no bridges, no loud Italians: lets face it, its basically less of a hustle this way. Need WiFi? Forget it, they will put instructions on how to connect in your room, but you wont need them, as no WiFi appeared. Breakfast: go to McDonalds. But, I have to admit, they have great pillows.

    visit in history

Frequently seen, nice pics on internet, but in reality a disaster. Room small, towels small and worn, minibar in the room but...empty, no airconditioning, payment already on arrival, but now I understand...guests might walk away immediately, the TV has the size of a computerscreen, no comfortable chair in the room, and the bathroom is so small, no wonder they are turning the shower doors to the inside, for an optical effect. Breakfast is next to the hotel in a restaurant. Not too fresh food, orange juice from the supermarket bottle. No kind welcome or friendly good bye from staff. Parking can only be paid by cash, no assistance from hotel, besides explaining where the nearest ATM is located. This is quality of probably old Eastern Germany. I am a frequent traveller, used to hotels, but I'll never visit this hotel again.
