    Very nice

We wanted to have a little break after hiking and decided to stay here for a coffee and ice cream. Service was very fast, professional and very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here and would come again.

    Ski vacation jan 2019

Great hotel for skii vacation very close to Reiterkogel gondola to take you to the top, which is conveniently only 80 m walk to and from the ski slopes. Loved the spa area, with 3 different saunas. Only one negative things was the dinner, we were disappoint when a veal was offered the 3rd day in a row. Will highly recommond this hotel and definitely come back with hope of better food for dinner.

    Bucket List Skiing Trip

A wonderful place to ski and to relax. The hotel staff are lovely the girls are so cheerful always smiling and very helpful. The bedroom is big enough and the shower is perfect. There is plenty of wardrobe space for all the coats and boots etc. and a wonderful locker room for the skiing equipment. The Sauna was ok but too many naked bodies for my liking but everyones personal choice. There is plenty to eat at breakfast and the evening meals were very nice. It was wonderful to sit on the terrace and get a suntan and look at the mountains covered in snow. The hotel is right in the centre of Hinterglemm a perfect position for ski lifts ski passes and hire of equipment if needed. We headed to the Goatstall Bar. An experience that no one should miss. Even as a pensioner it was a rocking place. Lots of skiers none skiers all ages and everyone singing dancing cheering and everyone so friendly. There are real goats in a separate room not to be missed. A little secret if you don't ski walk up the hill and there is a little tunnel which takes you straight into the Bar. It goes without saying that the scenery is to die for. A wonderful break.

    Third Stay

Having stayed at this hotel previously, I knew what to expect. Good value for a solo traveler and they offer a half pension rate which gets you a very good 4 course dinner as well as a breakfast buffet. Hotel is well maintained and there is a nice terrace from which you can partake of meals or just a drink. Friendly, dirndl wearing staff add to the pleasure. The room (small double for single use) was not as nice as in my previous stays but certainly worthy of the 4 star rating. Hotel offers the 'Joker' card during summer which is very good value indeed as it not only gets you free transport (all the way to Zell am See) but also cable car rides in the area as well as other family orientated activities. So overall, another pleasant stay. Highly recommend.

Very good location - Poor hospitality!

It was the third consecutive year that we arrived in Hinterglemm for spending our New Year's Eve holidays with my wife and two children. The hotel is perfectly located next to one of the two main lifts in Hinterglemm (The Reiterkogel) and the village centre. The hotel has its own parking space which is very convenient. However, we were really disappointed when we were asked to carry all the 5 suitcases we had for our week's stay up to our room ourselves. The owner or anyone else didn't even bother to help us. Our family room was comfortable but the view was really poor as it was facing the next building. The sauna and steam bath area was small but brand new and well decorated. The restaurant area was average at the back of the hotel with almost no view. Regarding food we had the Half Board plan where you could have your soup and salads from the buffet while you could choose your main course. However, the food (both breakfast and dinner) was really average comparing to other hotels we have stayed in Austrian mountain villages. On the other hand our waitress was really kind. The big disappointment came on the last day. During checking out and although we had spent there a whole week the person at the reception didn't even bother to ask us if we had a good time. Apart from this, when we asked to store our luggage somewhere as we were going to ski and then leave the village he instructed us to leave all our staff in a corner at the entrance of the hotel as according to his statement "there is always one of us around so he can have a look at your staff". After that we headed to the ski room which was opening with the room key. However the reception guy told us that the key is no more valid so he came with us downstairs to open the room and our locker where he turned to us stating "please empty the locker as I need it" and then he left. So we ended up changing shoes both us and the kids outside of the hotel. Summing up the hotel has a very good location, good rooms but with poor views, average food and very bad hospitality. Definitely not our priority for our next trip to Hinterglemm
