Very QuiteThe hotel is situated a leisurly 20mins stroll from the centre of Mulheim,it is part of a spa complex with the facilities 7 sauanas ranging from 70dgs up 100 dgs , outdoor pool, steam room all free to guests there is also an indoor pool , gymnasium and massages available at a cost. Just a comment on the free facilities everything is mixed and nude. It is also set in beautifull gardens. The hotel itself is very clean and although the room was very nice it lacked tea making facilities , mini bar in room and aircon with the room very hot when i visited, other than that it had flatscreen tv but with no English speaking channels,en suite bathroom with very basic soap and minute shower gel, there was a mini fridge on the 2nd floor for everyone to use with each drink 2euros.The breakfast was in the spa complex on the second floor note there are no lifts in this hotel and the steps are quite steep.the breakfast consisted of several cold meats and cheeses and the waitress will cook you a fried or scrabbled egg. there are also yoghurts bread and jams. The staff i found to be very friendly and helpfull, The bar is next to the outside pool but closes very early the surrounding are does not have any bars and no resteraunts as such only a pizza takeaway.

The good and bad of itI want to keep this short and fair. This hotel is part of a spa/rehab. complex. The owner is involved in the physical rehab. and the hotel. He seems to be a decent guy, but there are some issues; 1 The rooms in the hotel part of the two buildings are very small and not worth the nightly fee. It is smaller than a college dorm room. 2. The rooms above the spa (2) are large and very nice. 3. The "front desk" is only open while the spa is open.........if you arrive late (depending on weekday or weekend) you might be faced with an entry code, keys found on an interior desk and finding your own way in a strange environment with 2 buildings involved. 4. No one to carry your luggage upstairs / you are on your own. If you are old or out of shape, forget it.....there is no elevator.....and finding your way through the dark is difficult. 5. The breakfast area is very nice, as is the girl who will cook you some eggs......excellent!! 6. This is my opinion, but the owner seems more concerned of his spa business than his hotel business. This is evidenced by the fact that my shower was broken and he stated there was no part available to fix it. I didn't ask for compensation for having to take a shower in the spa, but none was offered. This is a cheap policy and doesn't look good to customers. The guy is not a particularly "bad guy", but he does not seem to want to be bothered by "hotel" issues. 7. The parking area is very small, maybe 6 cars............so, you probably won't get a "free" parking spot, as advertised. On street is very difficult. 8. There is currently heavy street construction under a tramway (looks like water conduit).....so, there is havy noise in the AM, after 9 AM..be aware of this.

Can't fault itI love Mulheim after spending some time here 20 years ago so we stopped over for a night on the way back from Berlin. The hotel is co-located with a Spa, the facilities of which you can use as a hotel guest. The hotel is really comfortable and quiet (there are tram works outside so it may be noisier during the week!). The Spa is mixed and naked which takes a little adjusting to as a Brit! Ideally located to walk in to town I would highly recommend this hotel and will hopefully be staying again.

Fantastic value for moneyYes the house is based an the Main Street, where the trams are audible if your street facing but the rooms where nicely appointed modern and clean. We had been at a local car event and this place was maybe not ideal for parking but the breakfasts were great and the facilities we sadly didn't have time to use but looked great. It was ideal for passing through but didn't have a manned reception but the person was contactable and helpful.

DisappointmentThe hotel is located in the old residential building - the flats have been just rearranged to the hotel rooms. Probably that's why our room was very spacious. Although, there is no lift, which was a big problem for us because we travel with a small baby in a stroller. There was also no place to leave the stroller itself on the ground floor so we had to take it with the narrow, spiral stairs to the first floor and we had to do it every time we were leaving and comming back to the hotel. Reception and the building itself is closed as soon as the spa is closed for the visitors. You get a key to the building but even if there were two of us we got only one key. The hotel is connected with the spa and as a guest you can use saunas and the pool. Although, the water in the pool was dirty and the ceiling was covered with pipes hidden under some kind of sheet - it didn't look like in the pictures from the internet. What's more, the swimming pool is not fully accessible for the guests - there are constantly some rehabilitation activities in the pool during the day and at that time the pool is closed for the hotel guests. It's also closed quite early at the evening. We wanted to have a spa weekend so we were rather disappointed with what we got. Summarizing, we were disappointed with the hotel and the spa itself. I don't recommend it neither for elderly people and families with small children (no lift) nor couples who want to have a spa weekend (poor pool quality and accessibility).
