Flashback to the 1980sThe staff here are pretty good. I feel bad that they work in such a dump. Plus one star for staff and the view. We stayed on the top floor in a suite because we had a large group. The hotel advertises a king bed in the master and 3 bathrooms. The bed in the master was a queen (problem since it was two friends sharing a bed, not a couple) and there were only 2 showers in the place. They also advertised a fully stocked kitchen but had no microwave. The walls were dirty, as they had not been cleaned or painted in years. The wall outlets were coming out of the walls. There were ants in the kitchen. The shower upstairs had so little pressure it was dripping. The sheets felt like sandpaper. The comforters were from the 1980s. You could feel the interior structure of the couch because they were so old and sunken. The pool's paint was peeling on the floor. The lobby was "under construction", but was basically vacant with no A/C and an abandoned shop and restaurant. They advertised they were close to the city, but we could walk to a couple of restaurants but ended up having to take cabs to get anywhere. If I wanted to stay in a motel, I would have stayed in a motel. We paid 4 star prices for 1 star quality.

3 bedroom apartment, few amenitiesThe pros: 3 bedrooms, 2 televisions, very friendly staff available 24-7, adjacent to ABC activities, nice pool, nice beach access, full kitchen, free parking, washer/dryer, fast elevators The cons: expensive, no tv remotes, room was not well cleaned, cleaning service only comes every other day, tiny ants everywhere, internet service inconsistent (constantly had to reset the router), having a car is a must (20 minute drive to the tourist strip), early check-in before 9 will cost a full days cost (after nine was a half days cost), washing machine soap not provided, dish soap/dishwasher soap not provided, only 4 dishes/cups/bowls provided, two bedrooms are not private (glass walls with curtains that do not cover completely), thermostat worked poorly, building looks run down

TerribleOne star for the front desk staff only. 5 star prices for extremely poor amenities. The lobby is in shambles with no AC. The advertised restaurant is closed. There are many hallways and doors padlocked. The elevators are past due for inspection. The apartment was in disrepair. When we checked in, the refrigerator and oven were out of service. The repairmen arrived within the hour and spent over an hour getting the refrigerator running, with the warning "it has a leak we cannot find so it may stop working." The fully stocked kitchen included only 2 nonstick pans. The windows did not shut properly, so the rain came in daily, causing the wall plaster to fall in chunks on the floor (and soaked the floor and couch). There was no hot water. The water heater was replaced, which gave us lukewarm water in the shower, and an unusable hot water tap in the kitchen. On our third day, I was alone in the apartment when 2 men let themselves in without knocking or calling first. When presented with these issues, the manager, Song, told us "you could have left at anytime."

Looks like old hotel from the 70sThe lobby was poor and the old carpeted hallways had dark burgundy carpet that reminded me of old 70s earth tones. Could definitely use a face lift. The room was OK but not at all worth the price. There is only one stairway from the upper parking level to the lobby. There was maintenance going on on the doors to the lobby and it was hard to figure out how to get to the lobby. Building looks great from the outside but inside gets a big NO.
