Great staff, decent room, but leaves a bit to be desiredWe booked a room that was listed as a Honeymoon suite with pool through our travel agent. We pulled into the neighborhood, yes this is in a very residential area, and parked. We were greeted by the dogs across the street. The location is not near anything. Not Fira, not the beach, not anything but a vet clinic. We checked in with the front desk lady who was exceedingly nice. She took us to our rooms. Upstairs. No pool, just a jacuzzi. We raised the issue of us being lead to believe we had a pool with the room, which I noticed were attached to the suites below. She said those were the executive suites and that those were all booked. We gave her our booking confirmation which showed pool on it. She appeared concerned and took the confirmation with her to look into it. She later blamed our travel agent saying that she made the mistake. To smooth it over though, she offered to send us a fruit salad and bottle of wine. Turns out the bottle of wine was listed as a room amenity on the website anyway. I let the issue go, but the booking is through a travel agent specific website that the travel agent booked online. It says the honeymoon suite comes with a pool. That is not her error. Its either the website or the hotels published material. In the end, I think they sold the pool suites to the highest bidder and bumped us. As for the rooms, they are nice, but are lacking in some important things...like towel hooks. Theres two in the shower (which is not graded correctly so it didnt drain) but none for the hand towels. The sink in the bedroom didnt drain because its plumbed poorly and the drains in the floor waft up sulphuric smelling sewer gas. We also had some sewer flies in the room. The jacuzzi is NOT heated. Its listed as a jacuzzi, not a spa. Theres jets, which is technically right for a jacuzzi. Doesnt mean its heated. The dog brigade in the neighborhood was a nightmare. They barked allllll night long our first night and kept us up. But they are friendly. My favorite was the little guy with the crazy underbite who I lovingly named Dimitri. They cleaned our room on the 3rd day. They left the bed unmade, but put the top sheet in a pretty swirly pattern on the bed. The blankets were folded in the closet. They didnt replace the dirty cups we used. Just put them back into the cupboard! I know this because they were chipped. They also didnt replace our creamers or water for the room. It was not awful, but definitely not great. The staff and the breakfast are the best part of this place. Dont forget to stop at the grocery store for a pack of bottled water! You can drink the water here in Santorini, but its either from deep wells or the desalination plant and tastes like garbage.

Very Quite Holiday - ReccomendI stayed here for 6 nights in September the staff were very helpful. The room was very modern and clean with a lovely pool. Breakfast is brought to the room every morning for a time you request, you can also change what you would like for breakfast daily the only fault overall was the glasses didnt get cleaned once whilst we was there so we had to keep washing them ourselves. It is about a 10 min walk into the village where you will find a few restaurants which are normal prices not as exspensive as Fira and shops so you can buy snacks and drinks for the room. If you want a taxi to Fira it costs 30 euros each way, make sure you use the taxi company the hotel recommend as some other companies try to over charge you. I would reccomend to go here if you want a very quite holiday.

Great stay but wished I knew a few things beforehand..Straight to the point: Pros: - about 10 mins drive from the airport - located in the middle of Santorini so about 10mins drive to Thera (Fira) and about 20 mins drive to Oia - 3 mins drive or 7mins walks to local amenities such as supermarkets and restaurants where it is a lot cheaper than places in Fira and Oia. - very friendly staff - especially to Girogios (front desk) and Anna (facilities). They always wore facemasks and the rooms were cleaned thoroughly in line with Covid19 safety measures. It was also contactless check in. - generous breakfast served to your room everyday. You can change your breakfast to different styles and have it delivered to your room. - clean rooms and housekeeping is available upon request (due to Covid19 they have reduced it from daily) - room sizes are actually a lot bigger than what you will get in Oia and Fira so very happy with this. Cons: - the villa can be quite hard to find using google maps - its not on the main road as you have enter a side road turning into a residential area so be mindful on that. It took us a while to find it. - the pictures shown when booking are very deceiving, so don't think you are getting a pool and a jacuzzi. It is one or the other. The pictures advertised are not in line with the type of room you book so please double check. You may end up selecting a type of room based on the pictures shown but actually get a different room like we did. Staff seem to be aware of this as when we mentioned it to them it is as if they have heard it before. - not fully 'private' as the pictures - you can see your fellow neighbours depending where you stand in your villa - something that I didn't like when swimming. The suites are one big building block with villas wall to wall and floor to ceiling, i.e. you will have neighbours on your left/right and/or above and below depending on which floor you are on (ground, middle and up). - hiring a car/ATV (like a quad bike) is highly recommended because of the location it is not easy walking around. In santorini there is not much space for walking on roads and it can be risky at night when there is not much street lighting. The roads can be steep at times so not so good for the knees. Taxis can be expensive so you are better off hiring a car like we did which is so much easier to get around (make sure you get insurance to reduce your excess as the roads are bumpy at places!) Overall, I am happy with my stay and it is a lot more reasonable price than staying in Oia and Fira where the rooms are a lot smaller and cramped. I just wish I had the info I mentioned above so I could manage my expectations a lot better.

Amazing placeIve been to Santorini twice now and both times I had to come here because of how great it was. The service is amazing and the workers are beyond helpful + polite. It is located in the centre of the island, only a 5 minute drive from Fira which was perfect. Any kind of activity we wanted was sorted upon talking to the receptionist who had a quad bike bought directly to the suite as well as arranging the best boat tour around the island at the cheapest price compared to the ones found in town. Breakfast was always filling and delicious and the options they have are perfect. The pool and rooms were cleaned to an exceptional standard, some with the view of the ocean and mountains in the distance. I have no complaints about this place its honestly perfect.

Amazing! My boyfriend and I visited Altera Pars Suites back in September and had the most incredible trip. The rooms were so clean, the beds so comfortable and the overall feel of the place was really welcoming. George, the concierge, delivered a fab breakfast every morning and couldnt have been more helpful with anything we needed. We had a 5 day escape from the stresses of normal life and COVID - even though the regulations they had in place were extremely safe. The hotel is in the middle of the island which is ideal for going south to the beaches and north to Oia for the sunsets. It truly was an amazing place with great privacy/seclusion and a great atmosphere. We will be returning as soon as we can! P.s. I would recommend a car for Santorini as its the best way to explore all areas of the island (everything is within about half an hour) as taxis are not cheap!
