  Nos quedamos con mi mujer la última semana de febrero en este hotel, queda enfrente a las pístas de esquí para principiantes, para ir al teleferico o gondola hay que tomar un bus gratuito que pasa mas o menos cada 15 minutos y la parada queda a unos pocos metros del hotel. Los cuartos muy bien, muy limpios, bano grande, desayuno muy bueno y suficiente para encarar un día de esquí. La comida a la noche, dependiendo del régimen que hayan contratado, es en el Hotel Hochfilzer, que queda a menos de cinco minutos caminando. El personal es excelente, sobre todo la atención de la senorita que nos toco para que nos sirva el desayuno y la comida a la noche, simpre estaba ahi para lo que quisieramos. Hay guardaesquies en el sótano del hotel, y todos los lugares de alquiler de esquíes quedan cerca. La gente que se queda en el hotel, por lo que pudo apreciar es muy tranquila, sin excepciones. La verdad es que el lema del hotel esta bien, Relación calidad - precio excelente, por ese precio no van a encontrar nada mejor, y pagando algo más, creo que tampoco. Definitivamente volvería.

  25 years of perfect bliss in Ellmau. Many happy years in the Hochfilzen and the Claudia. The reason we stay in the Claudia is the beautiful setting and wonderful hosting. We go to the Claudia feeling lethargic and quite stressed. But with every breathe you take in, you feel your body and mind recover quickly. The time and energy the staff put into making your stay relaxing is just amazing. Ingrid with her energizing breakfast and personality. Michael with his sense of humour and great breakfast host, makes everyone so relaxed. And our bubbly Serbian cleaning fairy, with her morning hugs and smiles makes the whole atmosphere perfect. And also the rest of the staff. Going again at Christmas. Get away from Christmas mayhem , to winter wonderland Ellmau. And the Claudia. Not to mention all the amazing staff at the Hochfilzen.   Wonderful homely stay.

  This is home away from home with the friendliest people and the best breakfast. It is across the slopes and ideal when you break for lunch and have to take of your boots. We will definitely go back!!!

  Made to feel very welcome

  This was our first visit to Alpenpension Claudia after years of staying at the Hotel Kaiserblick, so we weren't quite sure what to expect really, despite reading all the good reviews on here. Prior to arrival we registered online as requested, which made check in very quick and easy. Check in is at the Hotel Hochfilzer which is a 5 minute walk away - easier to arrive at Alpenpension Claudia with your bags then nip up and check in to get your key. The property is located right in the centre of Ellmau facing the slopes of Going with the ski bus D right outside the front entrance. The property itself is a typical Alpine property, spotlessly clean, warm and inviting. There were 9 of us in our group with 4 rooms. All the rooms are of a good standard, the wifi (free) is excellent throughout and easily allows streaming of movies online, with virtually no lag at all. There is an honestly fridge on the lower floor next to the heated boot room, which allows you to help yourself to the contents - soft drinks and alcohol - and leave cash in the piggy bank next to it. Very handy if you hadn't had time to get to supermarket yet! Ingrid and Michael (the owners) of this property and Hotel Hochfilzer are 2 of the warmest hosts you could wish to meet and did their absolute upmost to ensure all our needs were met and indeed exceeded. Breakfast at the Claudia is full of home made items; Ingrid's Granola is AMAZING and Michael's bread is the best you will eat!! Evening meal was at the Hotel Hochfilzer, 5 min walk away and again we were welcomed by a great team who looked after us each evening. On the last night Ingrid even took the time to put together Alpine Macaroni for us (our request) and Kaiserschmann...mmmmmm There is more to write about this property but I will close by saying we booked again before we left for Feb 2020. As a regular traveller, it has been a long time since I was made to feel as welcome and appreciated as Ingrid, Michael and team achieved here. Danke (It's enough?) See you next year, and thanks again, we had a great week.
