Very comfortable hotelThis was our 4th visit to Obergurgl but our first to the Alpenland. It's a very traditionally Austrian hotel in both décor and food. We had a lovely room at the front of the hotel directly facing the road, but it was extremely quiet. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with an amazing array of meats, cheeses, etc etc. You could not possibly leave the buffet hungry! Dinner was 5 courses and you are requested to choose in the morning so everything is ready at dinner time. Good wine selection. Staff were charming, helpful and very tolerant of my attempts to speak German. The spa area is lovely with a great selection of saunas and relaxation areas. It's definitely ski in and ski out so makes for easy access to the two uplifts - the Hohe Mut I and the Rosskar. I would certainly stay here again.

Probably the best located ski hotel in ObergurglLovely family-run hotel with great food and a superb location for skiing. It is ski-in/ski-out with the slope just a 1min walk from the ski locker room. The nearest lift is a 2min ski away from there, and you can ski right up to the hotel at the end of the day. The rooms are generously sized and very comfortable, many with a good view of the slopes or village. It has a first class spa. We've stayed there 6 times and will certainly go again. This year for the first time we travelled by train from London to reduce our carbon footprint, and it is a very easy trip by public transport right to the hotel.

Ski in Ski out perfect. Food very high quality. The rooms are very good. A lot of outlets. The logistic of the rooms are very good. The food are very good. Breakfast good. The only thing is that I prefer fresh fruit. Really fresh fruit with out suger. Like oranges sliced apples and bananas.

Ski out of the hotel! Great Location!Had a brilliant stay, went with a friend for a few days and I only have positive things to say. Hotel staff were excellent and very helpful, rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need. The hotel feels and looks like a very traditional hotel and the best thing is you literally ski in skit out straight onto the slopes! Would highly recommend!

Well appointed family hotel - well situatedThis is a very pleasant traditional Austrian hotel. We had a balcony with a lovely view of the piste and weather permitting it is genuinely ski in ski out if you are skiing in Obergurgl/Hochgurgl. Solden needs a walk to the bus or you can ski to the lifts and wak through town. There was absolutely loads of food multiple courses including a buffet and we enjoyed it all. The staff were friendly and accommodating and there is a champagne reception mid week. It was easily the nicest boot room I have seen very modern and fully heated. Good standard of spa facilities too with family and adult areas. The only drawback was that it was very hot - as with many ski hotels and we found it difficult to sleep. The air outside was dry meaning that if you opened the window it made your mouth dry. This may partly be because Obergurgl was warmer than usual (only about freezing) which may have affected it- its normally a lot colder at night in Obergurgl. But if you don't mind a warm room then this hotel is lovely - a bit traditional in terms of decor and ambience but then that's Obergurgl all over - its a traditional resort. It deserves it accolades - its a nice hotel..
