  Very Friendly Staff and Lovely Hotel

  We have just returned from a week at this hotel booked through Crystal Ski. The hotel is very nice with a really good spa including steam room, sauna, infrared cabin and resting room - fruit and drinks are also provided. The bedroom is adequate if a little smaller than other 4 star hotels. The cleaning and bed-making (including folding our night things) and daily clean towels were much appreciated. The staff are all lovely but our favourite was Caroline (who's English is brilliant). She literally was everywhere and couldn't do enough to satisfy our needs. The only downer was the position of the hotel for returning from skiing is a little far down the mountain and in poor conditions a little walking over muddy patches might be required (also a bit hard to find). We thought it was in Rohrmoos village but it is half way between Rohrmoos and Schladming. It is convenient to walk down the hill to Schladming but would recommend the bus back as it's pretty steep.

  Not a good position

  This hotel is on the road to Rohmoos and is about half way between the town of Schladming and the village center of Rohmoos. This means if you are not into hiking, you will need to take the car to these locations. There is a bus stop just outside but the schedule is not that frequent. Currently, there is some construction going on both next door and over the road and the hotel's positioning on a corner means there is substantial traffic noise if your room ends up in the wrong position at the hotel, which mine did! These were the issues that made me give it an average rating, otherwise the hotel is fine - could do with a bit of an upgrade and the food was not that inspiring. The staff were nice and friendly, especially the reception and waiters. Room was OK with a small shower. A bit expensive for what you get.

  Good Hotel, Nice Location, Great Holiday

  Booked through Crystal ski we had a 1hr and 30 min transfer time on coach and mini bus from Salzburg. Warm and very helpful welcome from the lady on reception we were allocated room 202 at the rear of the hotel overlooking some houses and a farm. Nice room with TV , digital safe, free WiFi and wardrobe with good storage. Compact bathroom with hairdryer and small shower with lots of hot water. Breakfast starts at 8am and it is impossible to go hungry with so much choice. Lots of muesli, ham, cheese,fruit, yogurt, bread and hot options of egg,sausage, bacon. Choice of dinner is done at breakfast with meat, fish and veggie option. Complimentary cake and tea/coffee at 3pm is a nice touch. Dinner starts at 6pm and is 5 courses. Salads and soups were excellent. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. The spa is very nice and a great way to relax after a day on the snow. The boot room is good with ski storage and boot warmers although we found boots went on easier if boots were left overnight in the drying room. Access to the piste is either by red 37 at the rear of the hotel or by bus from the stop opposite the hotel. Buses were efficient travelling easily to Hauser Kaibling and Reiteralm. Red 37 challenges the legs first thing in the morning! A 20 minute downhill walk into town finds nice shops and decent bars. The walk back uphill is a bit of a challenge after a few drinks but taxis are readily available. Expect to pay around 10 Euro for the journey. The skiing in the area is great after the recent snowfall with some nice mountain restaurants with a particular favourite bing the Jagastubl on the blue 37 at Rohrmoos. Overall we had a really good holiday. Special thanks to Bojan at the hotel.

  Very nice hotel

  We very much enjoyed our stay here. We spent 3 nights there and even though covid is still influencing travelling, we had a good time. The rooms are a bit small, especially the bathroom and shower cabin (for a tall guy like me), but still okay. Additionally you have a nice balcony. Matresses could be harder though. The breakfast is compact but good and has enough variety for a view days. Rather low on sweets but on the other hand unusual items like egg salad; plus very good bread. My wife also praised the coffee while I enjoyed a nice tea assortment. Dinner comes with salads, pre course, a main dish (usually you chose between a meat dish, a fish/seafood dish and a vegetarian dish) and a dessert. This was very good and one of the highlights. The wellness area is very much to be recommended, this we enjoyed a lot. Location-wise the hotel is situated nicely, you can reach the town by foot (~1km). Staff was nice and tried hard to make our stay a pleasant one.

  Great hotel at a really good price

  My family stayed here, for a weeks skiing. This hotel more than lived up to our expectations. Rooms were warm and comfortable, we had a good sized balcony overlooking the mountains. The spa, although small was adequate and keep so clean. The buffet breakfast is excellent as is the 5 course dinner. There is no bar as such, but you can get drinks in the restaurant and take them down stairs to the lounge or the pool room. Weve been to schladming before so we know that the skiing is great. The location of the hotel is half way up to Rohrmoos village, but there are 2 bus stops at the front door, one to Planai and one to Hochwurzen. There is a red run at the side of the hotel (No. 37) which takes you right down to the gondola, but it is quite steep and was never pisted when we were there. So I had to take the bus, but they are regular, so was no problem. All in all the staff are perfect and so is the hotel. Thank you to the team for making our holiday fab.
