  Fabulous spring stay

  Once again we had a chance to enjoy George's hospitality during our stay on Crete. We had a three bedroom villa, this time one of those where the living room with open plan kitchen is on the ground floor (where you can also find a small toilet/bathroom), and the three bedrooms (one of them with en suite bathroom/toilet) and another toilet/shower on the first floor. Everything was clean and in perfect order. The views are magnificent (sea view, Psiloritis, and White Mountains), and so is the host. The weather wasnt warm enough yet to enjoy the pool, but in July we certainly will. Coming back every time, thank you!

  Amazing place, quiet and comfortable for a family vacation

  We were at the villa on September 2019 for a family vacation (2 adults, 4 children). The location is superb - just 10 min drive from Rethymo, and a 1-hour drive from Heraklion airport. The villa is beautiful, and located in a lovely village. The pool is great, and the kitchen is will equipped with all necessities. WIFI is flawless. There are also nice hiking routes close by (Mili Gorge). Gorge, the owner, communicated with us before our arrival, and was very kind and welcoming. Highly recommended.

  Friendly and spacious

  We had a spacious well appointed villa stocked with fruit, drinks and olive oil with homemade biscuits as a welcome to the villa. Fabulous swimming pool for just us and restaurant across the drive. Great service and food in the restaurant. Instructions about breakfast and use of solar heating are needed in the villa. Superb hosts - very caring and friendly. You will need a hire car which George can kindly arrange for you. We would return for another stay.

  Outstanding villa

  We have just stayed in villa Clío II at Aloni villas. It is one of the nicest villas Ive stayed at, spotlessly clean throughout and had a really well stocked kitchen. The outdoor space was great, with several balconies and patios which caught the sun throughout the day. My boys loved the pool, which was just the right temperature. The views were amazing over the mountains and sea. It was a 10-15 minute drive to Rethymno to see the sights of the town and get to the beaches. There is a small supermarket in the village and two tavernas nearby. The owner, George, was very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended!

  Perfect summer place

  Following our tradition to spend some of our summer holidays on Crete we were staying with George at his Aloni place again. This time we had Villa Vaso. It features a split pool, one for very young kids (ideal for example for our youngest, 3 yrs old), the other for everybody. The house itself is similar to the other villas - 2 floors, with open kitchen/living/dining on the ground floor, and 2 sleeping rooms on the first floor (you can fit three beds into both rooms, so families with 3 kids or 4, if the youngest still wants to sleep close to their parents, can easily book this villa, too). Both floors have bathrooms with toilet and tub/shower, with the bathroom on the first floor being considerably larger. The ground floor offers two terraces, one facing east, the other to the west, and the same goes for the first floor, where one of the terraces is shared between the two bedrooms. Everything was excellent "as usual". While these words sound like a prayer wheel, they are not meant as such - with George's hospitality you can only always feel at home, starting from the welcome gifts to him being there for you no matter how small the need you may have - all of which will simply make it an outstanding experience. The location (Roussospiti) itself is close to Rethymno (the second road, which will bring you directly into the city, is now open again), on a hill overlooking the sea and the city. From some of the terraces you can see the Fortezza, the White Mountains, and Psiloritis. Beaches around Rethymno as well as cultural sites in the same prefecture can usually be reached within an hour or less. 5***** throughout, thank you!
