  Aloft Scottsdale-Don't Bother

  Having stayed at many other Aloft properties in the US, I had expected more. They converted another hotel, and slapped the Aloft name on it. I know Marriott is converting a lot of properties but this one should have been a low-end Delta. The lobby was small and cramped. Staff busy on cell phones do not acknowledge guest right away. My room was king size, but with very poor lighting. Could not read in bed. Location was good if you like to walk to downtown Scottsdale. Floor in bathroom very dirty-see photos. Dirty footprints in front of toilet, footprint on towel is from getting in shower and then stepping out to get a towel. After the stay, Manager credited me some points to make up for it but in retrospect I should have got another room or left. Unfortunately it took until after my stay to get a response. Poor quality towels-see the image of the bath towel with a hole in it. No towel holder anywhere near shower. As a Platinum Elite member I expect more. Also, staff did not acknowledge my status on check-in. That personally doesn't bother me but they are supposed to do that. Check-in was a mess-late, then not when promised, staff said they would text me when ready and didn't.

  Clean rooms, good location to spring training but WAY TOO LOUD to enjoy

  Try to be loyal to Marriott properties and booked Aloft for a Spring Training visit. Didn't expect alol of a Aloft but figured I'd mostly just be there to sleep. Unfortunately, that was a bad plan on my part as there is a live band in the hotel and the out side gathering space with fire pits is located on the 2nd floor, just under the single pane windows. Sleeping is NOT an option if you plan to turn in before 2 or 3 in the morning - even on a Wednesday. NOW to be fair, I was able to find a hotel 20 miles away at reasonable rate and upon checkout the Front Office Manager, Roberta, was extremely understanding and accommodating. She agreed to allow check out with out penalty and even credited my account some miles for the inconvenience. While I cannot recommend this hotel unless you aren't bothered by loud music, however I can recommend the customer service and professionalism that Roberta extended.

  Had a really good experience here

  Great location, for starters. Excellent value. Very large room, and most importantly, absolutely amazing air conditioning. Clean, warm shower water. Really welcoming and super competent front desk staff. Awesome bartender upstairs - she was so kind. Swimming pool well maintained and water was lovely after work. Other guests can be extremely loud - do not fault hotel for this one bit. I would return.

  Friendly staff, rooms could be cleaner

  Circumstances demanded that we travel from FL to CA in the midst of a pandemic, so we are being super careful as we travel. we were pleased & grateful for the "masks required" signage, staff wearing masks & hand sanitizer being readily available. I am careful to sanitize & wipe down all surfaces when staying in a hotel. while it looked clean, I was disturbed to find a pubic hair on the toilet while wiping down the bathroom. Gross. The wipe I used was dirty after I finished wiping down the surfaces in the room. I would hope extra care & attention would be given to disinfecting rooms at this time. Clearly, this isn't happening here. Disappointing. Staff was friendly and the space was comfy, but I wish more attention had been paid to cleaning the room.

  Two Day Leisure

  Great location ! Able to walk everywhere ! Roberta the Front Office Manager was the BOMB ! She was great at anticipating your every need - we needed some things refrigerated and she couldnt have been more accommodating. She is a real asset to this property !!
