Beyond TerribleThis should not be a hotel chain. This hotel has no direction at all, they do not serve free breakfast, well probably in order to make more money. There's only one front desk agent which creates a long line. No microwaves, i don't get it why they sell frozen meals. Hated the bathroom, it seperate the toilet from sink. Housekeeping servic was mediocre, they made the beds, switch fresh towells and don't even bother to deep clean. Housekeeper superadviser alex or alec was so rude that he suspect that i was lying. Nrver staying there again.

Would not recommend!!!The arrival experience was horrible. There is no place to park for check-in. You have to park in a lot behind the hotel and walk to the front. The staff is very aloof and not helpful at all. The room is very bare and has no privacy, (the toilet is separated from the room with a sliding door that is open on each end). There are no amenities. The towels are of very poor quality. They will not change your room, empty the trash or provide fresh towels or sheets unless you are staying for 5 days or more. There is no stopper in the sink so you waste water while shaving. Another water waster is the toilet, you must flush at least 3 times to empty the toilet bowl. There is no water pressure. The shower head is over 7 feet on the wall in the corner and is impossible to reach to adjust the spray or direction of the water. There are only 4 hangers to hang clothing and the shelves are so high you can't utilize them without a ladder, (of which they don't provide)! Walls are so thin you can hear people partying all night. I understand the need for concern with covid 19; however, the hotel does not provide any food other than very expensive snacks and junk food.

Clean, modern and...annoyingThis clean and modern hotel is in a great location, across from a lovely park and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Lots of free parking in the back. The gym was good. However, it has management and customer service challenges and definitely was not up to Marriott standards. A few minor gripes: - no bottled water in the room, not even to make coffee - cheap (and dirty) coffee maker with only one pod of coffee - no welcome gift for Bonvoy Platinum members - I booked a suite using Marriott Suite upgrades and they gave me a regular room - when I asked about the mistake they made, in a polite way, I got no help or apology. They said they had no suites available. I unpacked, and they called 10 minutes later and said they found one - I asked about water and they encouraged me to purchase it - no water in the gym - no breakfast, even though this is a normal benefit for Bonvoy members. I would not stay here again.

Sonic BoomsThe TL;DR is that you want to avoid rooms facing the front of the hotel, especially rooms ending in x24, although rooms ending in even numbers from x20 through x36 should also be viewed with suspicion. The road in front of the hotel curves in a way that any traffic like sonic booms are hitting the hotel. The hotel is located in a mixed use neighborhood with industrial parks, strip malls, high power lines, and apartments. It doesn't get a ton of traffic at night but even the occasional car somehow sounds very loud. Got a room change on my second night. Despite staying during COVID in a nearly empty hotel, I was told the only other available room was on the first floor. I think it was 109. It overlooked the carport. The view wasn't much to look at but it was much quieter. I tend to like Alofts and chose between this location and the one near the Portland Airport. I chose to avoid the latter. Portland has had some post-election rioting with store windows in the downtown area that were not boarded up having been broken this week. The Portland Airport location is in an upscale strip mall that seemed like a magnet for looters. I was renting a car that I didn't want damaged. Sonic booms aside, I guess I liked the layout of the hotel. There is parking in back of the hotel. There is a back door to enter from the parking lot and when checking in, you can have the front desk open that door for you by picking up the phone next to the door. The room was typical Aloft. Clean. Great bed and pillows. However, no bottled water was provided. Short drive to fast food and stores like Barnes and Noble and Nordies Rack. You can probably walk to the local Whole Foods from the property. There are other area hotels. When things settle down politically, I would probably choose to stay in Downtown Portland. Don't get me wrong, it's a decent suburban area with plenty of amenities. I just didn't really enjoy my stay in this hotel.

Great HotelI enjoyed my stay at the Aloft Beaverton/Hillsboro location. I stayed here for a while on business. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The room was clean and provided enough room for me. I had a nice view of the park area across the street. The hotel didn't offer much food due to COVID restrictions but there were some snacks and drinks available. Plus there were plenty of places to eat around the hotel. My room was cleaned once a week due to restrictions which was fine by me. There is an exercise room, laundry and pool (I think it may be closed). This hotel is situated in a nice area, I had no problems walking to and from the hotel in the early morning or at night. I would stay here again and recommend to others.
