  Good tourist hotel

  After long time again did choose aloft dalian. Actually good hotel for tourists. Price ok, rooms nice, breakfast more chinese but also for western to accept. Negative for Marriott members, breakfast or points choice, no suite upgrade, no lounge (free room bar). Service could be more friendly, Ms. May, from Restaurant my only very good experience, thanks.

  Good location!

  Like the location, in the CBD area, nearby has many restaurants/eateries, etc Walking distance to train station, which can easily link to lots of tourist attraction As a first timer in Dalian, this is what I need. Hotel standard is pretty much similar to other Aloft (DG), check in process is a bit slow (probably caused by lots of questions by the guests in front of me) Check out is an ease Room is good, no complain Didn't use any of the facilities in the hotel, can't comment much

  Out of expectations with good view, breakfast could be improved.

  I could see some comments said does not meet SPG standards but I think Aloft is a boutique hotel with Mariott Category 1 and I think the expectation should be matched this pinpoint. Hotel located in the city center ... with critical traffic jam sometimes, so please beware your time for travel (Even you cannot get a Didi) Hotel lobby was at 7th floor (forgot already which floor). My room was 15th floor. It is well organized with a very good view, and also a good bed. As a boutique hotel it is already way over my expectation. Shower is nice and air-con is well working. Great. I did take a look to the gym room, it also look nice, so for the people would like to take gym, they could enjoy the time there. But I have some comments on the breakfast. The preparation of the breakfast was not on time. As per hotel guide, it should be well prepared at 6:30am. However the breakfast was not well ready until 6:50am and I think that is a quite serious problem towards F&B arrangement. Moreover, the noodles taste bit weird, maybe the oil issue? I hope the management could take a look about the food production. Despite the food, everything is good and I could have a good sleep after a tired day in Shenyang.

  Good view good location but hot room!

  A nice hotel in a nice location but the room was steaming hot! Was offered another room but it will still be the same since their system only jave a centralised heating system as the weather is turning cold. Was sweating while sleeping in the room. Otherwise it is a very good hotel with polite staff.

  Great stay at a great price in a prime location in Dalian

  I recently stayed 4 nights the Aloft Dalian hotel. The hotel is located right in the heart of the city just off of Zongshan square, and I was pleased with how good the location was. The hotel was great for walking around, and there are tons of restaurants and cafes nearby including a Starbucks around the corner. The hotel is about a 30 min ride from the airport depending on traffic, and not too far from the high speed motorway. The hotel is a big modern building and you have the take the elevator up the lobby, which is pretty common in China. My check-in was fast and friendly and I found the front desk staff spoke good English. The lobby is large and modern and decorated in the younger trendy style of all Aloft hotels. That means funky furniture, constant music, and lots of bright colors. But I really like it. My room was on the 30th floor, and was very comfortable. The room wasn't huge, but was perfect for me for this business trip. I was worried about being on the top floor that the room would be too warm in the winter when the heat was going (as I've seen in other reviews), but I found the individual temp controls in my room worked perfectly and kept the room cool and comfortable for sleeping. The king bed was huge and actually one of the most comfortable beds and pillows I've had in a hotel in a while. I slept great! The room was very clean (although there were a lot of stains in the carpet, overall the room was really clean). The bathroom had a nice big walk in shower and had all of the toiletries you would need for a comfortable stay. The room had key items like slippers and a really great bathrobe, and there was a safe for valuables. They room had an umbrella to use for free which came in handy as it rained quite hard during my trip. There was a "mini-bar" but it just had sodas. The TV did have a couple of English language channels including BBC news and HBO, however the picture quality was not HD and was quite poor. In the morning the breakfast area can get a little busy, but there is a decent selection of both Chinese and Western dishes. Honestly, I found the Chinese dishes good, especially the chef making egg and veggie pancakes, but the western stuff wasn't very good. The breads were all VERY stale and hard. My only other complaint is that the Wifi in my room was painfully slow and was hard to hold a connection. The wifi worked fine when in the lobby so maybe it was just where my room was located? For the price paid, I highly recommend the Aloft Dalian. I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again.
