  Super Cool, Convenient, and Clean

  This was a great place to stay. My daughter had an internship in Columbia and I tagged along to make sure she was set up in a safe environment. I took my laptop and worked in the hotel some and explored Columbia part of the time. The staff at the Aloft was amazing. They were helpful and friendly. The hotel was located near USC campus, the capital building, and many restaurants. All were walking distance. I stayed previously on Main Street at the Sheraton, which was good also. At first I thought I should have booked that hotel again, but the Aloft quickly proved itself. It is a cool space and super convenient. I felt at home over the five days that we were there with the staff greeting us by name and having brief conversations. I definitely recommend this place and will go back for another visit.

  Excellent customer service

  This new hotel is within easy walking distance of great restaurants and even the State Capitol. The lobby is spacious with ample areas for social distancing while enjoying a meal or small group gathering. The Excellent rating, comes from their customer service. My group had an arranged airport shuttle. We checked out and were about to depart when Aloft's shuttle driver informed us that our flight was going to be late. He (Jordan?) had checked on it before we received a notification from the airline. The front desk staff quickly offered to re-check us into out rooms for another hour. Instead of waiting in airport lobby chairs, we enjoyed the privacy of our hotel rooms. In a very impersonal time, Aloft staff provided people who looked out for us. Thank you.

  Loudest hotel room ever

  Room was clean. Walls were SUPER THIN, Im not sure if we were next to the facilities room (204) but all we heard was banging, clanking and loud voices all night!! We complained to the desk clerk who was nice but replied eh ok! Ask for a better room if you are here looking to get some rest!

  TRULY A GREAT PLACE TO STAY WITH OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER CARE

  I read a few reviewers who had some complaints about the hotel. Not sure what they were doing or comparing it too. We stayed here and from the time I parked in front to when we go in car to leave we were treated like special people. The customer care was great, everyone goes out of the way to be certain we were cared for. The room we got had an heat air unit that was broken. Had maintenance in room within 15 minutes. Could not fix it so moved us to another room which was much bigger than original. Checked on us later to be certain all was well. Rooms are huge compared to others. Very modern with everything you need, except microwave. Motorized curtains and shades. USB ports everywhere. Desk staff always stopped to talk and pet our dog. They even remembered dogs name from day to day. Kept treats for the dog also. Breakfast was simple but very good, only sandwiches or snacks but good. Pay for these extra. Parking was good, we used valet and they were great. We cant say anything bad about the place except we couldnt stay longer. Also they gave us a couple of free drinks at the bar for inconvenience of moving rooms.
