  Simply Amazing

  My name is Karl Troutman. In my short 34 years Ive had the privelege of travelling to London, Paris, Rome, the Bahamas (Atlantis Resort), New York, Las Vegas, LA, Denver, and as a former Miami native even my own hometown had some very, very impressive lodging options. However the Aloft Inn in northwest Austin has blown everything Ive ever experienced before out of the water. Sure it lacks the grandeur of some of the places Ive stayed at but as they say, the devil is in the details. This moderately priced hotel gives way more bang for your buck than youd expect. Surgically clean rooms with all the amenities one could need plus beds that make it feel like youre sleeping on clouds. The walls are thick enough to make each room its own silent zone should you want it, the water runs crystal clear and heats up in the blink of an eye, the WiFi is lightning fast, and theres a full cable package on the huge HDTV. From that alone I would have been satisfied but it gets even better. Janine, Taylor, Kimberly, Chrizen, and Lester, the shining stars of the front desk, provide a level of service that should be the industry standard. Always smiling, gracious, and happy to help, you will never receive anything less than the most professional and warm treatment youve ever experienced. Carmen, the head of housekeeping, keeps the hotel so clean that even in this trying time of a pandemic you feel safe anywhere you go on the grounds. Its very obvious how committed she is to maintaining a level of sanitation that would put most hospitals to shame. And right now thats more than reassuring, its a necessity. But she and her staff take it to the next level. In summation, I thank Aloft for providing such a wonderful place to stay. I will recommend it to everyone I know, simply because its top-to-bottom perfect. $150 type accomodations at an $80-ish* price tag!   Clean, Friendly, and remarkably basic

  Zero frills, but it's clean and friendly. Shower only - no bath. No lights next to beds. No refrigerator or microwave, but for a night.....it's just fine. Shout out to Lester at the front desk. Very competent and professional young man. A real asset to the organisation.

  Very accommodating and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff

  We stayed at this facility as a group, a girls ice hockey team, in town for a weekend tournament. I'm the team's manager and while I'm polite and respectful, I'm sure I'm a huge pain as a customer as I ask for a lot of different things and accommodations for our families thinking it doesn't hurt to ask. The GM, Asst GM, and the Guest Services Mgr were so helpful, even anticipating our needs and suggesting ways to help beyond the many requests that I had for our group. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We travel quite a bit with our team each year and stay in a variety of hotels. This particular visit was among the best, especially as regards to the friendliness, willingness to help, and effort made to insure that we had a safe and happy stay at their hotel. I'd highly recommend a stay at this hotel and would happily stay there again the next time that we're in Austin.

  Small rooms, poorly outfitted

  Tiniest room we've stayed in for years. Also was supposed to have a mini refrigerator - none; ice down the hall but no ice bucket or disposable plastic glasses in our room. We will not be staying at this property again. Rooms are clean but too spartan for our taste. Location is good for shopping and dining. We were instructed to put our dirty towels and garbage out in the hall for disposal/replacement - which we think is pretty gross.

  A Disappointment.

  Very disappointed. From the time we checked in and had to wait for someone to show up in the lobby to the attitude we received when we asked for extra pillows to the towels that you could see through in areas because they were so worn and thin, it was just a bad experience all around. Also, in the room, there was no separation or door between the bed area and the bathroom/sink area so when you turned on the bathroom light the whole room lit up. I had to wake very early to leave for meetings, and it was inconvenient for my partner still sleeping. I know this doesn't apply to solo travelers, but if you are traveling with someone else, just be aware. Lastly, I opted in for the mobile room key option and never received it. For a Marriott property, I expected much more. You can do better.
