  Nice hotel but Free Breakfast is ridiculous

  The room is nice for a modest hotel classification. But the free breakfast is a joke... they tell you to go to the Restaurant in the hotel , Carolines, where the customer service at the restaurant is Poor and they make you feel like they are doing you a favor by give you an awful breakfast taco. If you want the fruit or a muffin, its extra... and they will do you a favor and give you a cup of tea instead of coffee, as tea is not listed as a beverage!!!

  Great hotel

  This hotel was a great experience on every aspect that I had the need to come in contact with. Check in was quick and seamless. The room is the 1 bedroom suite, and we love it! The view of downtown, including 6th street is awesome! Carolines for breakfast was delicious and enjoyable!

  Absolutely horrible experience

  When I booked this hotel, I booked it based on it being a category 6, the same as the JW Marriott, about 6 blocks down Congress. When I first checked in, I get to my room and immediately go to the bathroom after setting my bags down. Upon lifting the lid to the toilet seat, I notice the toilet has dried urine on it. Given that traveling and cleanliness a big concern, especially during Covid, I immediately called to the desk and alerted them. They asked me to come down. I came down and the lady working was very nice. She was very apologetic and gave me keys to another room as well as a drink voucher to Caroline, the bar at the hotel. I get settled in and then meet some family across town. We end up at Carolines later I used the voucher. The next day, we go to the football game and come back mid afternoon to relax. I wanted to just lay around and watch some tv until we went to dinner later in the day. The TV would not connect. I call down to the desk multiple times and no one picks up. So I try to reach them through the chat option in the Bonvoy app. After waiting an hour, someone finally falls. Instead of trying to fix my issue, he wanted to give me more drink coupons to use at Carolines. I wasnt in the mood to drink. However he insisted that is what he could do to help. With that, Carolines had a wait and I had no option to use the voucher even if I wanted to at that point. We ended up just hanging in the room until we went to dinner. We found a great spot called Lamberts, about an 8-10 minute walk. I highly recommend it if you visit town. Later that night, after spending some time with friends across town, we come back to the room and step in dog feces in the hallway. I once again have a conversation with the staff and they didnt even care one bit. To me, that was strike 3 (other smaller issues I havent even discussed). But in a category 6 hotel I expect much more. We ended up canceling our last night and going to the JW Marriott, which was much nicer. I never leave negative reviews. Being in business I know how much of a pain it is to deal with them. But when I gave this property many attempts to make things right and they wanted no part of it, its what Im left to do. I dont want anyone else to have a similar situation.

  Great Hotel that is doing their best

  What a great hotel. They have been clearly hit by the pandemic and reduced business travel to the city but the service was still top-notch. They maintained all Marriott elite benefits (great upgrade and amenity choice breakfast), plus everything was very clean. Housekeeping is upon request (for longer stays) and they were also very thorough. Parker at the front desk was fabulous. A great representative of the Marriott standard and made sure everything was done perfectly.

  Incredible Staff

  We fled to the hotel after losing water and power in the great snowpocalypse of 2021. While enduring what has been an otherwise tense and dangerous week filled with uncertainty, one thing has proved to be unfailingly reliable: the incredible positivity and helpfulness of the staff. Superlatives fail me. Whatever youre paying the staff, its not enough. Maddi, Dylan, Parker, and the rest of the staff have handled all of the difficulty and stress of this week with inhuman levels of grace and compassion. I will be forever grateful.
