Dated Retirement Hotel...Stayed here for a week, someone couldve warned us this was essentially an old peoples home abroad... The main hotel area reception area is fine - pretty standard. The rooms are very basic and in desperate need of a spring clean & redecorating. The inside of the balcony curtain for example was absolutely filthy... if you brushed past it you ended up covered in thick dust. We thought this was just our room but next door was the same. The food was dreadful. We ended up eating out a fair few times because it was so poor. Plenty of choice yes but all over-cooked / under-seasoned. There is a games room which we visited very briefly when it was stormy outside. This is essentially a massive empty room with a very dated and damaged ping pong table - presumably the paddles and balls are available from reception but we decided against this. The gym equipment is older than the clientele. It took two people to adjust the seat on the bicycle because it was thick with rust. The swimming pools outside are very nice but not heated so didnt get much use sadly. Staff were generally friendly with the exception of one waiter (whos name I forget unfortunately), he was very rude and had no recognition for personal space (I thought he was going to slice my dads cheek off when he took his plate away!!). All in all, I dont think well be returning. The location is good but having paid what we did, its certainly not good value for money. Weve heard they may be completely refurbishing so maybe wed consider a return visit should this happen.

solo breakstayed at the Aloe for a week in february my room was clean and bright with a tv( only 1 english channel ) the staff were friendly and attentive in all areas house keepers, reception bar and restaurant and out door workers, the outdoor pools were large and clean a bit chilly for me to go in but the indoor pool was warm and big enough to swim in , the food was good quality and a good selection every night the location was good a short walk to the harbour and opposite the beach. i sent a emal requesting information which was replied to very quickly and my request were granted (many thanks ) my tip would be to take your own kettle and tea bags and buy milk when in paphos as kettles are not supplied but you can hire them from the hotel i would happily stay at the Aloe hotel again i had a great stay a bit of me time as a solo traveler

junior staff very good management just after your moneyhotel very well placed for all places you require food hit and miss we were there when the virus struck. this is account of what went on with mercury holidays and there so called rep who is not employed by them she is employed by a travel company called Louis travel .this is what we were told. Friday informed Jet 2 moving all their customers to be off the island of Cyprus by 21 march. Mercury so called rep Fiona did not turn up on Saturday 14 March to answer any of our concerns. Come Sunday 15 March said everything was ok no problem with flights all leaving as normal.s She came again Monday 16 March said all had changed do not ask her any questions because she does not have any answers She left and did not turn up until Wednesday 17 March informing us that Easy Jet had cancelled all flights until the 30 March but there were flights from Larnaca Airport run by B A and if anybody wanted to book these flights she would do this for them these flights cost 600 to 1200 euros no mention of JET 2 Fights which we booked for Manchester airport at 250 euros ourselves even though we told her of these flights was there conflict of interest ie LOUIS TRAVEL. Went to paphos airport on Thursday to get on our JET 2 flight We all eight of us could not believe there was a Easy jet reparation flight leaving at 1630 from Paphos airport that day it left with only 70 to 80 people on board. What makes this so sad is that there were guests in our hotel the Aloe also in Annabelle Almyra in Paphos

Really good hotelI actually traveled there in sept 2018, not 2019, but anyway - really nice hotel for its price. Quite area, the beach is close and is sandy (which is rare in Paphos), good restaurants close by, nice walking path that leads to the port. Overall i liked it a lot. Make sure you take a room on the west side to stay out of sun.

Needs updatingGreat location within 15 min easy stroll into harbour are, cafes etc, but dealing with hotel, Given a four star rating according to Tui, well thats generous. We had a twin room, third floor, and it was passable , just. Small hard beds, bathroom function able. Dining is average at best, dinner possible breakfast poor, i vomitted due to bacon, continental ok. Bar prices ok ,cheaper outside which was expected, we drank out side after first night. Decor dated, seating areas some threadbare.cutting to final review, its a3 star at best, average overall. Best thing was indoor pool.
