  Nice place

  Stayed Christmas 2010 with my wife and Mother. Made to feel welcome from a very late arrival. Food quality superb, breakfast either laid you table with a good range or if they are busier a buffet. The laid up table version was nicer. Rooms are clean tidy and warm, currently undergoing a lot of refurbishment. Bathroom a bit small, but, that comes from the design of the place in the past and you can't fault the current owners for that! Would happily stay again. Location great, although it's worth getting a car as the ski bus gets VERY busy.

  This is a fairly nice place to stay

  An accommodating accommodation. In lieu of a standard review, I would like to provide a few remarks and observations that might assist readers in their choice to park their patooties at this property. DRAWS: 1) Located in the epicentre of this charming village, within walkable reach of the eateries, bakeries, and walks. 2) Comfortable and spacious rooms with balconies provide a sense of comfort and homeliness. 3) It has a restaurant and outside dining area, and a seating area on the balconies. 4) Regular towel replacement and duvet folding service available. 5) Staff helpful and Germanically good-natured. DRAWBACKS: 1) The pillow arrangement needs reconsideration. We were upgraded to a family room and had to use the spare duvets to provide extra back support so we could sit upright in bed. 2) There needs to be a more effective reception system: several times we were required to hang around at the bar while staff were fetched from the kitchen or elsewhere, and our transactions were often awkward. 3) The front door is tricky to maneouvre, and is a pain for those carrying fresh coffee and pastries into the rooms, as it requires a push and twist operation with the key and a spare hand. 4) One of the waiters who works in the restaurant has a shtick that wavers from amusing to somewhat hostile. 5) The room could have been hoovered once during the nine days we spent there. 6) There was loud banging audible from the kitchen or elsewhere audible through the walls. Otherwise, this will suffice for your stay.
