    Hotel con muy buena relacion calidad-precio. Muy limpio, personal muy amable y buen desayuno (buffet). Muy buenas camas, yo estuve en una doble y una de las camas era de matrimonio. WIFI gratis. El hotel es un poco viejo en algunos aspectos, pero tiene muchas cosas modernizadas: camas, TV plasma, WIFI. Comedor y hall con encanto. No yiene ascensor. Bus al centro de Manchester en la puerta (35 min., tiempo muy asequible para ser Manchester).

    Overnight stay to visit family

    Just returned from our 5th stay at Alma Lodge and we are never disappointed, the staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is a lovely experience.The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. On this occasion there was no cooked breakfast only continental but this is mentioned on their website when you book. All safety precautions were followed and lots of hand sanitizer around...Thankyou for looking after us once again and no doubt will be seeing you again soon.

    After COVID it will be very, very good!

    We need to consider the miserable moment we are living, with COVID forcing hotels and restaurants to apply emergency measures, restrict the ususal service and try to do their best. At Alma Lodge they are: the offer a very decent service and, even with reduced access to reastaurant and a reduced breakfast menu, this place remains good value for money in the area.

    Great Place to Stay

    Our family of 3, myself, my husband and our 7months old baby stayed here for 3 nights. The staff is amazing, we really liked the night receptionist that has 3 daughters always happy and willing to help. The price we paid was very good. The rooms where spacious and have enough space for all clothes and good amnesties. English breakfast can be served for 5£ per person, as much as I would have enjoyed having a buffet style breakfast, they had packed cereals, fruit of your choose, toasted bread, yoghurt, croissant and coffee and tea. I guess this is an adapted breakfast menu during the coronavirus crisis. The younger boys/girls that served tea and coffee were lovely. Free Parking- The Holiday Inn that had similar prices for the same period doesn't have free parking, therefore this place gives you a better value for your money. Close enough to the Peak District, we drove 30-50 minutes to the places we wanted to visit. Must say that the hairdryer itself wasnt working, but we brought our own anyway. I am sure they could bring another one if we need a working one. The housekeeping staff were polite and helpful. If traveling with family you can request a cot for the baby. Nest time if in the area we shall book via their website not via booking.com as it charges them a minimum 15% commission for every booking/stay and they can give you the same price if you call the reception Support your local businesses in times like these.

    Wonderful staff and lovely rooms

    I am mid an 8 day stay over 2 weeks, and have been made so welcome here. I hope to return for a good while in November and December. Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed for the hospitality industry and lovely places like Alma Lodge at this difficult time. The staff are just lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are bright, spacious and modern. Impeccably clean. Highly recommended. I hope things turn around for the hospitality industry. This is an example of an independent hotel where the staff are just wonderful. Thank you everyone x
