Why are they in business?Really nice clean and spacious apartments that overlook the lovely port of Kamares. Nothing can be faulted about the accommodation, however, the same cannot be said about the owners. I emailed the owner days before arrival asking if we could be collected as the rooms are about a mile away from the port. She made some excuse as she has done previously and wouldn't even arrange a taxi, this is a shame as God knows what we have done had we had a lot of luggage, not only is it far, but the last bit was a fair distance uphill. In the end, we hired a car, which led to further problems. We were met by an indignant youth, not seeing a sign for reception, we went to room six. There followed the coldest and rudest of welcomes with a list of things we were forbidden to do, not the best of starts. My partner had been ill for the last few days and so for her sake, I parked our hire car as there was space for one car in the park and told the surly youth that if there was a problem please knock on our door. We were intentionally blocked in the next morning by one of the owners' cars. There followed a lot of anger for half an hour while they tried to look for the keys. A rude man, whom I presume, was the owner of Alkyonis Villas, came down eventually just to prove the point; DON'T PARK THERE, he then proceeded to call me a very rude name.. This is the worst experience I have had in the many times of staying in any property. I really don't know what these people are doing they seem to sit around in their little room and wait for the money to come rolling in. I don't think they fully have any idea about what it takes to run a lettings business and their, arrogance, which I mentioned to them, is astonishing. No doubt, I shall get a response to this feedback. As in previous replies they will not take responsibility for their acts and probably blame me. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Quiet locationStayed at the Alkyonis apartments June 2016, a very quiet location set back from the main road ,good house keeping very clean ,just a short walk into Kamares with plenty of restaurants to choose from, a good bus service to get you out & about, a great base for plenty of well signposted footpaths, would deffo return to this island.

Perfect place to stay in KamaresWe stayed in a spacious and comfortable apartment with both a balcony and a terrace with a very nice view on the sea and perfect for the sunset. The location of the apartment is good, just a short walk to the port and the shops, and just 100m from the beach. It was very clean and well decorated with a greek traditional feeling. The people working there were very friendly and helpful, always very nice and smiling with our kids. The service was excellent with a daily cleaning. They even cleaned our dishes! The only thing that can be improved in my opinion would be to provide more equipment in the kitchen because it is only the strict minimum.

Not for familiesVery nice view and great housekeeping. Sifnos is a beautiful island. We have two children, one with a severe disability, and I think he was too loud for this place. We had travelled all over Greece, from Alexandroupolis, to Thessaloniki, to Athens, to the island of Aegina, and finally Sifnos. There are SO many beautiful things about Greek culture, one of those being the total acceptance and love of children - all types. But this place was the first place in Greece that kids weren't as accepted. It caters to a different crowd, its not really a family place unless you have one very quiet child. If I had known, I would have chosen this hotel. Also, we had packed and checkout was at noon. At 11:40, the guy came and asked if we were watching the time - it was time to leave! We paid a lot of money to stay there, we should have been able to stay until check out if we felt like it.

We loved itFirst a warning - take a sharp knife, a bottle opener and a corkscrew! Otherwise my wife and I thought everything was fine. There were fantastic views from our patio (towering hills and white Cycladic houses and the bay with boats) with lots of seating a a large table + a Juliet balcony at the back where you can dry clothes. The studios have been built to give the feel that you have your own small village house. There was a double bed with a three quarters wall separating it from the rest of the room, which also had two bed settees. This was ideal for us as we don't sleep too well in the same room, but this gave us the best of both worlds. There was plenty of storage and a TV, although there were no English speaking channels on it. The air conditioning worked well, plus there was a stable type door and a metal mesh frame that fitted over the window when it was open (well almost!). The bathroom had a very effective shower, wash basin and toilet, with a fly screen at the window. This small complex is about a ten minute walk to the centre of Kamares, where there are some good restaurants and tavernas and two supermarkets. We ate in for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. There is a good bus service to Appollonia, which is both picturesque and good for shopping (especially jewellery, clothes and pottery). If you are fit, healthy and like to walk then Appolonia has some good walks starting from it. The house keeping was good and Konrad (I think) who mans the office was helpful where needed. We would definitely stay here again. We will certainly be back to Sifnos - probably next year!
