  VERY disappointing! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

  Our room was VERY small (6 ft x 9 ft) and had a double bed, which none of the rooms on the website had and the it was so hard that we had difficulty sleeping. We let them know in the morning before 10AM that the room was unsatisfactory and asked for a refund for the 2nd night, which was denied. They did not even offer us an upgrade to a better room. Our room was NOT good value - expensive for what we got. We have stayed in other hotels in Taiwan and never paid the equivalent of C$95 for such a shabby room. There was no place to sit with back support (there was one small stool and the bed) and there was not even room for a small refrigerator, or room to adequately store our bags. Based on the fact that we complained about the quality of the accommodation, and that they had enough time to clean the room and re-rent it after we left, we believe we should have received at lease a partial refund for the 2nd night.

  Acceptable but may not return

  The room was really small for the price paid. But most of Alishan's hotels are quite expensive. The bed was really hard and the pillow was really flat. Wasn't a comfortable rest. But if you're only staying 1 night for the sunrise, you may not get much sleep anyways. The place provides free shuttle service to and from the Alishan bus station (upon request). 5 mins walk to the Sunrise Train station and the Alishan Recreational Area.

  Bad Service

  On my travel day, 2 super typhoons were coming. All HSR and Public Transportations (even schools, flights, works) were suspended. I sent many emails and called at their phone number about changing my trip day to next day. Wait a lot time for their reply and suggestions and no reply received. I was charged due to Hotel Policy as No-show. The worst service I got in my life.

  very happy with our stay

  Very clean. We stayed 2 nights. Modern design. Bathroom is clean, has heated toilet seat. Staff were helpful. Gave clear info for sunrise tour the next morning. Morning call at 4am. We have 2 double beds for 3 adults. Bottled water provided everyday. Room is small but has everything one needs. Heating and cooling can easily be adjusted. Breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Will return again if I visit Alishan in the future.

  nice hotel

  this hotel is nearly the alishan scenic park ..if u want to watch the sunrise ,then this hotel will do the purpose as it is near the forest train..you will still need to pay the entrance fee for alishan scenic park eventhough the hotel is located inside the scenic park.if u have luggage,it is troubsome because of the steep stairs in coming to this hotel..so u better call the hotel management to pick u up when youre in the alishan 711 already.no elevator too,but girl employee will help u to carry your luggage up your room.breakfast is not for westerners..and it is serve on another resto. the room is small but clean and have a nice window view.
