  Excellent Concierge Assistance from Hoku

  We had a perfect stay here last week and very much enjoyed the property. We were in the planning/booking stages of our week and felt extremely lucky to time our visit to the office with a day that Hoku was working. She was AMAZING! She took a lot of time to field our questions, make calls and help us get last minute reservations for various activities. We were unprepared for the road closures/reopening but Hoku was up to date on the launching of the website for Napali Coast hikes/Ke'e Beach reservations which we were able to obtain thanks to her knowledge. She was also able to get us two seats on a last minute boat tour of the coast going out of Hanalei Bay. The property is fantastic and our space was beautiful but it was Hoku who made the trip most memorable. Being able to hike the Napali Coast and visit Ke'e Beach was the highlight of our trip and she saved us a lot of time by making the calls to secure boat reservations for us. Definitely stay here and definitely make sure you get to the office on her days. Thank you so much Hoku (and I really hope I spelled your name correctly!).

  Peaceful, quiet setting away from the crowds

  My wife and I were extremely comfortable in this resort's accommodations. Although there were few onsite amenities, basics, such as a pool and bike rental, were available. We were looking for somewhere to relax and we found it here. The resort offered concierge services to arrange for tours and restaurant reservations, though we didn't take advantage of these services. We visited several restaurants in Hanalei, a 20-minute drive away, and in the nearby Princeville Center. We highly recommend this facility. Overall, our week at this resort offered an excellent experience.

  Have had better

  Third trip to Kauai and first time staying here, precious two times were nearby Bali Hai. The most prominent thing that stands out is the constant maintenance work that is truly interrupting to a pleasant stay. Whether it was weed whackers or jack hammers there was constant noise around the property. In addition they nuisance and noise of garbage trucks was prevalent. Speaking of noise, while theres no turndown service they do provide washer and dryer. However both machines were incredibly loud and prevented us from watching tv in the evenings. Highly not recommend.

  Comfortable resort

  We enjoyed our vacation to Kauai. It rained a lot while we were there so didnt use the pool as much as I would like. Facilities were nice, but could have been cleaner. Also the garbage trucks were very noisy at a very early hour right behind our unit, and it continued for a half hour... every day!

  Superlative place

  Ali'i is a magnificent timeshare. The units are exceptionally well apointed with excellent space. Of dozens of places we have stayed, this was one of the best. Everything we needed was abundant and at hand. That said, two things a novice should know and are related. During the week we had no need for air conditioning. Tempratures were wonderful along with a very nice breeze. We kept the windows and the patio door open the entire time we were at the residence. However, chickens have free run of the entire island and were delighted to come visit and crow outside the open windows. They made excellent alarm clocks. All told, this was a great place. We had a minor repair issue which was taken care of immediately. Location was great and all was wonderful.
