A fabulous breakOur holiday started badly at another resort nearby. We came across AHH purely by chance and booked the remaining 4 out of 6 days of our holiday. All the AHH staff were very friendly and accommodating; Soula (Receptionist) and Fortis (Restaurant Manager) were fantastic and other staff including; Captain, Elena, Irina and Danai (who ran the evening bar), were so friendly and welcoming they all made our holiday. Due to Covid, this hotel has carefully considered alternative ways to keep guests safe and comfortable and above all have an enjoyable stay and it was excellent. Food was brilliant, lots of choice. There is a full buffet service available (for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Guests are escorted to the buffet and served by the staff, which effectively means you sit down and eat together - almost a la carte! Freshly cooked Pizza is served all day and is delicious. Home made Ice cream is served all day along with your drinks as you would expect all inclusive. The room was spotless, comfortable and fully air conditioned. There was an excellent, newly refurbished bathroom, with walk-in shower and the room included a TV, fridge and had a sea view. This hotel have had to limit sunbeds around the pool to maintain distance between different guest parties, but you get used to it and everyone is respectful and understanding. The staff clear up this area every day and use the correct tools to clean down beds ready for the next day. I can't fault this hotel, they are fully prepared during Covid and keen to hear any feedback on how they might improve. They are just as keen to get it right, to encourage more visitors and I applaud that! Well done everyone at AHH and keep it going... hope to return and see you again soon.

Lovely HotelAlexander House Hotel is a lovely little hotel. We stayed as a family of 5 adults for a week in August 2020. The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. Covid rules were followed, all staff wore masks & everything was cleaned regularly. Food In the restaurant due to covid you get seated at a table & then called up to the buffet where the staff serve you whatever you would like. Good selection of food - always something to eat - not always hot but not terrible - Greek salads were lovely! There is also a pizza bar by the pool that serves different pizzas every day from 10-6, as well as ice creams & drinks. Bar with a view of the sea open 6-11pm. All inclusive finishes as 11. Pool Pool was lovely & clean, & a good size - it is very deep! Loads of inflatables to use that people had left behind. The hotel say you cant reserve sun-beds with towels but everyone does, but there were always sun-beds available & the staff will bring more of you ask. Rooms Rooms were basic but lovely, fridge, wardrobe, safe, TV etc (no English channels) Air con great. Cleaned every 3 days with changed sheets, towels etc. Location About 50 mins transfer from Heraklion airport. Masks are compulsory on public transport - not nowhere else as all employees wear them. Hotel is literally a 3 minute walk from the beach which has lots of restaurants, tour operators, shops, bakerys along it. The beach is very thin & the cost of sun beds & an umbrella has been hiked up to 20 due to covid which is expensive! The beach does get thicker as you walk along it. Its worth walking down for a swim & then back to the pool to relax afterwards. The sea is INCREDIBLE! So many fish swim right by you & the water is very clear, its a bit rocky so take beach shoes if you have them. Overall a great hotel & would stay again.

Lovely stayWe stayed there for 7 nights. The staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. The rooms were clean. The food sometimes was lukewarm but I think it was because they were serving you because of Covid and they were open the lids all the time to show you what was in there. They coped very well u see the circumstances of Covid. The pool went deep very quickly and no depth markings on the side. The beach was only a 3 minute walk away with a lot of restaurants to chose from. There are a few supermarkets there as well. Would definitely go back

Good value family hotelOur stay in Alexander House was fantastic , the staff were extremely welcoming and always wanted to help us. The food was top notch and the view in the restaurant is great. We relaxed and enjoyed the sea , swimming pool and particularly the food. There are lots of steps but it is no problem if you are mobile. Obviously the hotel was quite empty due to COVID but the staff were still very welcoming. I can only recommend.
