  Best place on the island!

  We stayed in Cabin #1, it had obviously been recently upgraded. Clean, comfy and spacious, the view from the porch was lovely. Had all the amenities we needed. Staff was personable and friendly, we especially appreciated the "queen of clean". We chose well!

  Couple days on Cormorant Island seeing Alert Bay!

  We had a Travelzoo deal to stay at the Alert Bay Cabins in Alert Bay for two nites. We loved it, we had a very cute 2 bedroom cabin with queen beds that was very nicely set up. Full size appliances, wifi, satellite tv and a nice deck out front to view the water. Very clean units and grounds. You can drive around the island in ten minutes and there are many trails to walk. The Umista Cultural center is fantastic, one cool must do spot. The totem poles around the island are amazing and I met one of the carvers(Stephen Bruce ) who did a few of them, Halibut Man was my fave. We ate at Pass n Thyme, must do the Halibut and chips. We would definitely visit again and we live in Powell River.

  Lovely hideaway from the busy world

  The cabins are fantastic. Do not expect too much, but everything you need is available. Water, electricity, peace and quietness. The wifi is not that good, depending where your cabin is located but for sure internet is not the main reason to visit this place. We had a lovely drink on the picnic tables on top of the mountain overlooking the bay. During the drinks we had the luck to see 2 humpback whales passing by... can you imagine with your glass of wine in your hand. During the evening when you are relaxing on you terrace, raccoons every now and then pass. I completely fell in love with this island and the cabins and for sure I will come back!!

  Comfy stay

  Lovely cabin, nice, cozy & comfortable. The 2 bedrooms we had were quite big for the cabin size. Located not far from the ferry terminal, only a 5 minute drive. We had a view of the Strait from our room.

  Girls weekend away

  Fabulous cabins, fully equipped with everything you need. Great location for walking. Friendly staff. Very clean. Extra blankets to put over your lap as you sit out on the front porch watching the water and waiting for a chance to spot marine life. Covid restrictions were in operation.
