  Good accomodation

  Clean and tidy. Restaurant closed. COVID? Nice pool after long drive. Quiet rooms but sadly only box air con which is very noisy if you need to have a good nights sleep but most motels in this area do not have split air con. Would recommend.

  Desperately in need of an update, overpriced and under specked. The pool area is disgusting and unsafe, the rooms are just average and smelt musty. The beds looked unmade. The entire site needs a tidy at the very least . The more you look the worse it looks Bins havent been emptied for a while . Beds were rock hard, terrible smell in bathroom.

  Disappointing accomodation

  Stayed there for one night after 2 weeks of camping... definitely in need for a good sleep. The rooms are very old, and bathroom would do good with a reno. the reception looks good and first impression was great, but it unfortunately stopped there. the room smelt a bit humid and old old old room, and we had the luxury of a blocked toilet just before using it... Thankfully the receptionist was really nice and helpful! saying all this, we slept AOK, but was not the experience i was hoping!

  We checked in, then we left...

  We arrived after a long drive with our young children to meet family and stay in Longreach a few days. The young man at reception gave me no more than a few words and a room key. Very lacklustre arrival but we hoped for more once in the room. What a huge disappointment. The room is very old and tired, stained floors, broken and mouldy bathroom tiles and fittings, beds that are too old and need replacing. To raise spirits we went to the pool area. The pool was disgusting, full of leaves and bugs. Another family there commented that they had to get out as it was just yuk. The tables in the outside area were filthy, the spa has been filled with plants but has been left to fill with water so its full of skum and really stunk. The whole motel needs a refurb or at least someone to take a some care of it. Staff were as helpful as they could be (just) blaming the owner for not allowing any refunds or consideration to the fact that the photos on all websites DO NOT match this property. We didnt stay, we left after we found a more suitable property in town and didnt look back! Please dont waste your money like we did.

  Enjoyed our 2 night stay.

  Spent 2 nights at the Motor Inn and our room was clean and comfortable and thank goodness for the air conditioning as it was extremely hot when we were there. Easy check in with friendly helpful staff. The pool area is a lovely cool place to relax after a long drive. The only negative was that the restaurant/bar was closed apparently because of covid and we had planned on trying the local steak. The onsite bar and restaurant was one of the main reasons for booking in advance and would have been helpful if this was mentioned on their website that they were closed, however our stay was overall very good.
