    Very nice family run hotel

We spent a night in this hotel. The ambiance is nice and it is indeed very well located, walking distance from the cableway. A plus is the free space in a shop close to the cableway where it is possible to leave sky and ski boots at the end of the day. I will reccomend this hotel for a ski holidays in the fabulous Monte Rosa ski area.

Lovely family run hotel but with a couple glitches

This is the sort of hotel I'd love to give a great review for. The building is in a secluded spot and made almost entirely of wood. The rooms are clean and what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. (A note for non-Europeans - double beds in hotels this area are always two single beds pushed together with two single duvets. This is the set up at this hotel as well as all others we've been to on European ski holidays). They've got some very friendly hotel dogs that are somethings there to greet you when you come in. Breakfast is fine, dinners are great with traditional local cuisine. We really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub. There were a few things that weren't so great: We booked through Expedia and selected the half board option. Upon arrival, we were told that we had only booked bed and breakfast. When we queried this and said we thought we'd booked the half board option, the woman at the reception declared that to be 'impossible' as it wasn't in the computer. We pushed a bit harder and pulled out our booking confirmation from Expedia (which stated that we'd booked half board) which convinced the receptionist to look through her paper records. The paper records had us down as half board and all was eventually sorted. At dinner you are given the option of purchasing wine with your meal. We bought a couple of bottles over the course of the week. When we checked out at the end of the week, we found there were some extra drinks charged to our room. We had to fight quite hard to get these removed. We did get it sorted in the end, but we had to put up a real fight to get the drinks we hadn't had removed from our bill. I would suggest that if you do order drinks, you proceed with caution and see if there's a way to sign off on the hotel's record of what you've ordered at the time of ordering. It is also worth noting that the coffee and tea you're offered with dessert is not included as part of your half board (we found this out upon check out as well).

    Charming, authentic Italy. Stunning location.

This is a lovely charming little place with amazing views thanks to its elevated position (yet really close to town, 5-10mins walk). The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is home made and very traditional. Its a creaky old chalet that is clean and warm, and very rustic. Excellent value (we went with ski2).

    Authentic Alpine hotel

Stayed here as a family group of 9 at the end of January for 4 nights. Made to feel very welcome by owners and staff. Hotel warm, clean and good food. Nothing too much trouble for staff. Hotel is a chalet design made of wood inside and out. Inside it is decorated in typical alpine style. The rooms are fairly dark owing to the all wood design. The beds are firm but comfortable. Bathrooms were fine, not over generous shower cubicles but all very clean . Breakfast is Continental with a choice of cooked eggs, cheeses and ham. Fruit, juices, croissants, rolls and cakes with jams, tea or coffee. Dinner was 5 courses to be pre - chosen in the morning. Varied selection, Italian and local food menu. Good Valle d'Aosta red wine. Allergies are catered for. There is a small bar in the lounge with plenty of choice. We didnt have time to use the hot tub, maybe next time. The driveway is up a 20 mt steep pathway. We booked through Ski2 and the transfer driver dropped us off at the bottom of the drive but helped us with our luggage to the door. Hopefully we will return one day and this is where wed stay.
