  Very Nice Family Runned Hotel.

  Albergo Speranze is just outside the historic centre (10 min. walk). Rooms are very clean (the marble stone floor is cleaned every day) and are equipped with a private bathroom, a private balcony, A/C, TV and free Wifi (although the signal was weak in our room). The owners are very friendly and will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast is extended, in fact there should be something to please every visitor. The hotel also provides a free parking space. Although Speranza is a one star albergo, it looks more like a two star hotel.

  3.5 stars- pretty good except for the bathroom

  The owner spoke limited English, so it was a little difficult to communicate over the phone but we managed to arrange pickup from Peschiera Del Garda train station. He helped us with our luggage up 2 flights of stairs to our room (no lift). The room was clean and spacious, with a big double bed and a small third bed with a shelf hanging over it. The TV was tiny and not in the best position. It was also a little hard to work out how to turn it on- press the red button on each of the 2 remotes and then select a channel number on the bigger remote. There were no English channels, but we found American Idol subtitled in Italian. There weren't enough power points in the bedroom- we had to unplug a lamp. The only major problem is with the small bathroom- it wasn't lockable and it didn't even have a door- just a sliding screen door. Since it was so small, we were bumping into the flimsy screen door trying to dress and undress- this could lead to an embarrassing situation if sharing a room with friends. Also, there was only a shower curtain, which didn't do much to prevent flooding of the bathroom floor during a shower. There was only 1 hook to hang our clothes- it's not enough. We also had to sit sideways on the toilet. Noise was an issue at times during our stay. We could hear it in the corridors outside and one night, the rubbish truck in the streets woke me up at 3:45 am as it emptied bottles from the bins. Breakfast was decent. They don't serve dinner though, so we ate elsewhere, at a restaurant next to the train station. The location is good- only about 4 streets away from the train station. We walked there and back to take the bus to Gardaland. It was very convenient. It felt like living in a real suburb.

  A pleasant second stay.

  We already stayed at Speranza two years ago and came back during our latest summer holiday. If you look for a nice hotel, clean rooms with private bathroom, A/C, TV. Wifi, balcony, car park, excellent breakfast, try Albergo Speranza. The owners are a very friendly couple, that will do everything to make your stay pleasant. It's a one star albergo, not a four star hotel. But therefore, you only pay for a one star albergo.

  Under new management now, still excellent.

  We already stayed at Speranza several times before. The hotel is under new management now, but still excellent. First of all, Albergo Speranza is not a 4-star hotel, so I rated the hotel as an Albergo. Rooms are clean and have a private bathroom, A/C, TV. Wifi, balcony. Car park on site is free. Breakfast is good. Value for money is excellent. The new owners are very friendly as well..

  Great hotel, excellent location

  The owner Franco and his wife are wonderful hosts. The breakfast selection is very good, particularly the quiches and apple flan both of which are homemade. Yummy! The hotel is very close to everything you want to see in Sirmione - castle, shops, oh so many restaurants and of course the beautiful Lake Garda. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
