Just what we neededWe stayed here for one night in January needing somewhere to stay after arriving at Milan Malpensa airport late in the afternoon and not wanting to drive too far. We chose this place as it is a 'restaurant with rooms'. Being Italy in the first week of January, we were advised (in advance) that the restaurant would be closed, but were assured they would find us somewhere to eat (which they did and we thoroughly enjoyed it). The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere and was seemingly family run. The room was large, with a large bed, and bathroom with bath and separate shower. Reasonably priced and very clean. Parking was available at the hotel, but there is also a large parking area on the square which the hotel overlooks. The location was quite good, in the centre of a very nice and not touristy town with three butchers and a fantastic wine shop. It was unfortunate that we were not able to try the restaurant associated with the hotel, but hope ot next time. I would certainly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to go back.

Definitely a keeper! While visiting a festival we just picked a hotel in the area. We could not have made a better choice! So good, that instead of one night we stayed 3 nights here! Turned out to also be a good startingpoint to tour in the region (e.g. Bergamo, Brescia). Our room was complete with a lot of space. From our room we could go directly to a private terrace. The staff was very helpful and informal. The terrace in front of the hotel overlooks a little piazza. The hotel has its own restaurant (very good) and bar (snacks). Rooms are all included against a very reasonable price! A place to go back to!

Simple but adequate, good restaurantThe Della Torre is nicely located on a square in the centre of the village. Through a gate you can reach a courtyard which allows for parking space for guests and a part of the outdoor terrace of the restaurant. The front has a bar terrace on the square. The hotel part is housed in a separate building at the courtyard. Rooms are small and simple, everythings works but don't expect miracles. No AC. Beds are out of date, should be donated to a youth-hostel. The restaurant is nice, good Italian cuisine, served with pleasure. Breakfast is a bit simple, would have enjoyed a selection of fruit salad, yoghurts and so on. Would not mind staying there again for a few nights.

It grew on meMy first impression of this hotel, after checking in, was not very positive, more what have I done?. That changed over the weekend as my stay turned in to a very enjoyable one. Easy to find in the Main Square just a minute or so walk from the bus stop. A very impressive building with a real wow factor from the outside. Checking in though was not so good. Nobody at the reception desk & so I rang the bell & after 30 seconds or so, a lady appeared. Language was the issue as she spoke very little, if any, English & my few Italian words were no help. I eventually worked out that she wanted my passport & after giving that to her she handed me my room key & as far as she was concerned, that was it, check in complete, no directions to my room, no info on breakfast or wifi etc. Off I headed to find my room, heading out of the reception area, outside & across the hotel courtyard but no, I couldnt figure out where it was. After a few minutes I was pointed in the right direction by a gentleman who could see the obvious frustration on my face. He turned out to be the hotel owner & spoke very good English. My room. Size wise it was ok but was quite aged in style with carpet floor, work desk, tv with a multitude of channels but no English language ones, large wardrobe with a full length mirror on the inside of one of the doors, armchair, 2 single beds, safe, smoke alarm, folding luggage rack & air con. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room & no iron or ironing board. I requested an iron from reception & was told to call back in one hour. I did call back approx. 75 minutes later but no iron nor was there any note left to say that I was going to be calling for an iron. Anyway, the iron did turn up at my room shortly afterwards but no ironing board & that iron was left with me for the duration of my stay. There were no issues with noise from inside or outside of the hotel, in fact sleep quality was excellent. A large window gave plenty of natural light. The bathroom was a nice size, very clean with fully tiled walls & floor, shower cubicle, shower head & hose on a rail with good pressure & plenty of hot water, sachets of shampoo, soap, shower cap, shoe cleaner, hairdryer, towel rad & plenty of towels. Breakfast was typical buffet continental with tea, coffee, orange juice, mineral water, cereals, yoghurts, cheese, sliced ham, whole fresh fruits, croissants, pastries, cakes & bread rolls. Wifi was free with a user name & password required to access it. Quick to connect to once the password was entered, it was fast & consistent but I had to reenter both the user name & password every time I left & returned to the hotel. The electrical socket adaptor that I brought with me & which Ive used all over Europe was no use to me in the hotel as the electrical sockets were all of a 3 vertical pin in line type. The hotel seemed to be a major meeting point for the locals as the tables outside on the square were constantly busy with people enjoying a coffee or glass of wine. I enjoyed chilling there watching life in the square & the locals interacting with a big glass of Moretti in hand which cost 5.00 Euros. I didnt eat in the hotel restaurant but it seemed to be a popular place for a meal as I dont remember passing it without seeing people seated & eating there. I was feeling very positive about my stay once I got my first sight of the beautiful exterior of the hotel & was really taken aback by my check in experience which did not impress me at all but that really was the only down of my stay. My room was comfortable, I had 2 great nights sleep, staff were friendly & the hotel was absolutely in the perfect location for the reason for my visit. If the event that I attended takes place again next year I will be staying there again. A little bit of further info. I used the no.1 bus to get from the airport to Bergamo bus station. I bought the ticket from the ticket office in the terminal, cost 2.30 Euros. The bus from the station to Trescore left from bay no. 9. I bought the ticket in the bus station, cost 2.65 Euros. Cervetta Café located very close to the hotel is worth popping in to. I visited a couple of times & had some good laughs with the locals there. Big draught beer cost 4.00 Euros, big bottles of Moretti 3.00 Euros & a nice selection of snacks were available there, I particularly enjoyed the salami.
