3 Star Hotel with 5 Star Service & 5 Star Spa

The hotel Negritella is a 3 star family run hotel but the staff and spa are worthy of 5 stars. Our room 205 was compact as was the bathroom but both were spotlessly clean and there is enough space for 2 adults to move about the bedroom without any trouble. We had a balcony which had views over the glacier which was very nice, especially at sunset. The room was warm but not too hot and was cool enough to sleep well at night and the bed was very comfortable. As stated in previous review there is some noise (out of tune singing at 2 am) from the night club across the road but this is beyond the control of the hotel and is an issue for the local town council to address. I've seen a few people commenting in reviews on the food but this is a 3 star hotel and does not claim to be anything else. If you want fine dining pay fine dining prices. Occasionally in the mornings you did have to wait for the croissants to be replenished but this is because some people were taking several at a time instead of 1 each which is beyond the control of the hotel staff. All items were replenished and if you wanted anything you just had to ask. There were plenty of choices for breakfast - fresh bread/rolls, croissants, jams, fruit salad, cold meats & cheeses, blueberry yogurt (which is the best yogurt I have tried) cereals etc. The coffee is served from a machine but it is good coffee, especially the double Americano. Evening meals consisted of a cold salad/veg bar and il primo (pasta, rice or soup) the raviolini is fantastic and a second-course il secondo (usually meat). You are given a menu sheet to select your following evenings meal from a choice of 3 or 4 dishes for each course (the lemon chicken was my favourite). There is always a choice of 2 desserts, the homemade ice cream is very good as were the cakes and this is from someone who doesn't usually have desserts as I don't have a sweet tooth. I can recommend the Pinot Nero wine at 18 a bottle and the prosecco by the glass at the bar is of good quality also and well priced. Our waiter worked very hard and was friendly, polite and genuinely seemed to enjoy his work and is a credit to the hotel. The spar is very modern, clean and tranquil. Towels are provided just don't forget to pack a bathrobe. I particularly liked the bio sauna and steam room. There is a large rest area and drinks are available. I would recommend this hotel if you want a friendly hotel at a very reasonable price. We would stay at this hotel again if we revisit Passo Tonale.

    Family and Friends

We have just spent a week with Alessandro and the team at the Hotel Negritella, the entire week was fabulous, the hotel is very friendly, the staff very attentive and very willing to help, the location was excellent. Food was very good, and the bar had what ever we needed. Nothing was too much trouble As an individual who travels extensively and stays in hotels at least 150 nights /Year I would go back to the Negritella!! Well done to you All Gjc

    Very upset

I recently stayed at this hotel, I have stayed in other hotels at passo del Tonale but this was certainly the worst. And not only for the old fashioned furniture, wifi and television not working, but for the unpleasantness of the owners. Waitresses and staff is good and very underpaied for what I discovered and also working on everending shifts. I would not choose this hotel.

    School Trip - incredible

Just spent a week with Alessandro & family - wow! I was in a school party of 54 people (45 teenage girls). We were welcomed on day one with lunch, the rooms were great & cleaned spotless everyday. The food was very good in fact the adults felt it was the best food on a school trip we had ever had. The waiting staff were friendly and kind, the chef went to great lengths to cater for some of our fussier eaters. Alessandro was very flexible around our mealtimes, a great help to us but also made things more pleasant for other guests. The spa was a great bonus. I really cant fault our stay & will definitely return. Grazie mille
