  Looking good!

  This is our second visit here, the first time 9 years ago. The rooms have all been refurbished and bathrooms re-done. We were on the second floor in a twin room which was on a side street that you could get a lovely view of the lake. The room had everything you need and was clean. I loved the little dressing area in a little annexe. It meant no suitcases to trip over and a large wardrobe for hanging/storing clothes. I have food allergies and the owner even gave me a special dinner menu to ensure I was well catered for. I was so touched! Breakfast was the usual continental with fresh bread rolls, meats, cheeses etc. Coffee was lovely and you could ask for an expresso if required. Dinner was taken outside overlooking the lake. Stunning setting. The waiters and waitresses looked after you well. The tall head waiter had a very dry sense of humour and I quite liked him. Please remember they burn citronella candles for a reason - the mosquitos are rife. So wear a mosquito band repellant and use a good spray and you should be ok. You can also buy a citronella candle in the local supermarket for only 2 euros.

  Lovely holiday

  What a lovely little hotel - perfectly situated in the beautiful little resort of Baveno on Lake Maggiore. The Eden is a small family run hotel, our room was small but comfortable and very clean. Everyone at the Hotel Eden was friendly and helpful - we chose to stay half board and were not disappointed, the food was lovely and we had the loveliest view from our table every evening - please see photos

  Relaxing holiday in a beautiful place

  Very friendly and efficient family-run hotel with good accomodations with a stunning view of the promenade at Lago Maggiore. Baveno was lovely, although I imagine it would become overun in summer. Easy train access to Milan and good excursions on hand, including by boat to the Borromean Islands and also hiking expeditions..

  Wonderful yet again

  When we decided to return to Baveno we knew that we wanted to return to this hotel and try and get the same room. We were lucky to be able to do so. The hotel is still managed by the same people and they are still lovely and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located for all the boat tours and for lovely promenades. Both of which we did again. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The weather was perfect too.

  Disappointing

  Room basic but clean, breakfast Ok but dinner awful, cold and unappetising. Owners not interested. When food sent back they didnt bother to find out why it was returned and didnt offer an alternative. Would not recommend this hotel. This was booked as a package through Inghams.
