  Hidden Gem in the Swiss Alps !

  Charming family run hotel near Italian Border. Recently renovated with upscale and beautiful interiors and rooms. Breakfast and dinners were truly outstanding. Claudio gave our group of 15 Swiss travelers from Georgia a tour of the family winery with wine tasting and alfresco lunch in the wine cellar alongside the chestnut wine barrels

  Excellent two night stay

  We stayed at this family owned hotel for two nights in July 2019. We couldn't have made a better choice. Albergo Croce Bianca is a couple of hundred metres from the centre of the town and so is quieter than other hotels, though a major road runs right in front of it. Our room (no. 29) was spacious with two cupboards and a really large bathroom. The hotel offers free use of a tiny sauna and Turkish bath, and has bicycles for the free use of guests. The breakfast buffet is good but what is truly outstanding is their kitchen. We ate dinner both nights here and the food was excellent and worthy of the honours it has won. The staff was helpful, considerate and professional. We were especially impressed by the responsiveness of Tanja, the receptionist. We happened to meet the owner of the hotel, Claudio Zanolari. He turned out to be a jovial host, exactly who you want to be in charge of your stay. I have no hesitation in recommending Albergo Croce Bianca (which means White Cross Hotel) to anyone travelling to this area.

  A real hidden gem

  We are so pleased that we chose to stay here. It is an easy five minute walk from the station. An extremely well run family run hotel. Very comfortable with an excellent restaurant. Lovely garden . Claudio, the owner is also the chef. All of his team were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The beds were very comfortable and bedroom spotlessly clean. Very good breakfast, plenty of choice. Dinner was excellent. We chose the relax package with the menus and wine chosen . Really delicious. We also benefitted from the Valposchiavo card which included some local train and bus travel, museum entry and the Sassalbo boat on Lago Poschiavo . The area is stunningly beautiful with easy access to hiking and biking.

  Back again in Poschiavo

  We have been here before, and reviewed Croce Bianca before. Once again, we were not let down, and we will come back again for sure. This hotel has just what we like, there isn't really anything we would suggest for improvement. We especially appreciate the electric car charging, in the hotel parking lot.

  Very good stay

  My wife and I booked 2 nights into this hotel begin of Nov 2020. we had a wonderfull stay: room was spacious and clean, WiFi very good, no noise. Also had a wellness area hat we could use, with sauna and steam bath. Breakfast was very good, and lots to choose from. They also have a restaurant that we can recommend. Would stay again. And yes, good location, close to the train station.
