Very upsetThis hotel spoild our holiday .Everything that is written on Booking about it is lies. We booked an expensive room not the cheepest one.The room is very tiny and old fashioned , the bed is smallest I have ever seen .I woke up with a pain in the back .My husband and I slept on one side. The view from the window is awful, on the garbage can and construction. We closed the windows with curtains so not to look. The jakuzi is for half a person , the smallest I have ever seen. And the toilet room as in a train. The water in the swimming pool is very cold. The breakfast is average. Very upset.

Great location - high and low satisfactionIt's 37 degrees outside and we're heading for the "Alaska Inn". Just based on the name you know you're in for surprises. Our family booked a rather large room (holds 5) in this aging Hotel. We wanted to be close to the Park Canada facility and this was ideal. The owner, Reuven was fantastic, warm, helpful and professional. It would seem that Reuven is like John Cleeses' "Fawlty Towers". He seems to have little or no staff and does everything himself. The hotel is situated across from a synagogue and a dilapidated structure. Highlights of this facility: 1) Great location. 2) Great outlook tower, highest point in the entire area - can see deep into Hizbollah land Lebanon. 3) Spacious room size, small balcony. 4) Nice backyard grounds. 5) Great, shallow pool, clean, high quality water. 6) Privacy 7) Ample parking. 8) Friendly service. 9) Clean bathroom - plenty of towels. 10) Close to restaurants and Park Canada facility. Lowlights of this facility: 1) Aging facility, Reuven can't keep up with the maintenance. 2) Repairs patchwork visible. 3) Dirty, not even broomed patio. 4) Simple 2-3 star furniture. 5) After some time A/C leaked onto my son's bed. A least the A/C worked! 6) Breakfast sub-standard with some jams labeled expired in 2014!! 7) Bed light burned out and shade ripped. 8) Fixtures loose, not maintained. 9) TV not linked up. So, it would appear that the owners at the Alaska Inn have a few things going for for them but they seem to be running on a shoestring budget and as a result show signs of neglect or reuse of things. For example, and this is kind of funny, the dining room tables are covered with glass and underneath one sees "Alaska Inn" disposable placements. It is as if they don't want to use the placements up so they put them under glass for safekeeping. All over this hotel one sees neglect and unfinished work but the nice areas make up for this. The bottom line is that while Reuven charged less and was more flexible in his pricing for a family of 5, the place does not offer good value for money. At 280 Euro per night, this is expensive for what you get but then again, hotels in Israel are expensive. This hotel seems to be barely holding onto this business but then again, Israeli clientele are captive to a hotel cartel and always pay too much, getting less value for money. At that price, worldwide, one can be spoiled with a 5 star hotel but here, this is not the case. On the other hand, where else can you look north, East and West and see Lebanon? Hotels in Hizbollah land Lebanon have got to be A LOT cheaper! I will not return to this overpriced hotel but others in the area were even more of a ripoff.

great location - bad accommodationI always like to start with the good things: Host and service for small request are good. The pool was nice as well. But - we felt that we got half price value for the money we paid. The place was small ,relative dirty, the room smell at the beginning from mustiness. the ceiling is relative low which make you feel more claustrophobic. we had no view as written in the site. (2nd floor ,I think upper floor has better view ) and the balcony is very small. it felt like a youth hostel that was decorated as a real hotel. Sorry. I don't like to write bad review but we were really disappointed. with the price we paid we were in much much better places before. At the first night we were shocked and thought to leave by the next day. we went to talk with the responsible guy there. he was very understanding and nice and told us to talk with the other partner tomorrow. We haven't talked with him since we have decided to stay and we thought that if he has something to assist he would return to us after the talk we had. but no one approached us.

As always- superb serviceI rented a room at the hotel for a long-term stay. Great view great service, great crew. The clear view from my window was beautiful. I stayed in a beautiful newly renovated deluxe room, which has a large balcony. Thanks so much.
