    Just Great

    Visited Amman for 4 days and stayed at Al Thuraya Hotel. Very comfortable and pleasure stay. The staff were keen to help and very friendly. The room was very clean and tidy. The location was ideal for me. The bathroom could use a small renovation but overall I am very happy I chose that hotel.

    Nice hotel

    The hotel staff is very kind and welcoming. I was offered a free upgrade to a suit. I had stayed there 1 night and found the location a remote when visiting the main touristy sites like the downtown and the Rainbow street. The room was clean and comfortable. One comment is the limited foreign channels, no CNN, no BBC, even no Al Jazeera English, yet plenty of local channels.

    Unhappy guests

    Amman is an expensive city and we were at Al Thuraiya for 2 nights.They were unwilling to give us 3 bottles of water in spite of the room being of triple occupancy n were rude when we were unable to pay for our dinner with the local currency.. The stay has left a very bitter taste in such a beautiful city of Amman.

    Great service from start to finish

    This was my first visit to Amman, and the hospitality at the hotel was by far better than most places I have ever been. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and always had a smile. The hotel is a little dated, but the room was rather large and comfortable. It is located in a semi residential and commercial neighborhood. A large hospital is right down the street, with a small market, the hotel is within walking distance to a small shopping area with a few eateries. The closest ATM is located in the hospital. Getting around was easy thanks to Uber. I really had a nice peaceful stay here and enjoyed talking with the friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

    Not worth a star rating

    The hotel is very shady. The rooms are dated and need serious renovation. The breakfast is absolutely pathetic and I am sure that they are serving leftovers. The room cleaning is a joke. I was about to step out and requested the cleaning man if he could come back in 5 mins. His answer was a very rude NO. So I allowed him to clean the room. He cleaned a suite room in literally 5 minutes. No sheets changed nor offered. The complimentary coffee and tea was not filled. The bathroom was not cleaned. The bed was not made. He just folded the comforter and thats it. The towels were old and rough. The bathroom had stains all over the floor since check in. The room carpet was very dusty and I just could not stop sneezing. I was booked to stay for 4 nights and decided to cancel my booking and move out in 2 nights. The receptionists were helpful but there was not much they could help. I understand it was the month of Ramadan but if thats the case, they might as well not take bookings. Please do not stay at this hotel. Its not worth the 4 stars given to it.
