  Good rooms, poor location

  The rooms are very comfortable, large and well equipped although the bathrooms could be modernized and the wardrobes tend to have a window as their rear panel (but it's quite enjoyable putting on warm clothes!). COuld include a wider range of TV channels. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there are some really great, cheap Indian and Sri Lankan restaurants in the surrounding streets.

  Old world charm

  We stayed for two days and really enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are good. We used the gym which was excellent. We arrived late at night and we received a few bottles of drinking water which was very welcome. We will stay there again.

  Friendly but better value available in Doha

  This hotel needs a major modernising rennovation. The bed was uncomfortable and too low to the floor. The air con control was outside the room and across the hall. The room telephone was far from the bed. The shower bath had no hand rail. Generally the room was dated and not up to expected standard for the same price as international hotel chains. The staff were friendly and helpful, a resource that could be matched with an upgraded property.

  Very comfortable stay.

  Full of character and old Arabic charm. Whilst it may not be a modern 5 star facility I stayed for 6 days on buisness and was extremely comfortable in the self contained apartment. There are two restaurants on site if you do not want to cook for yourself and the Chinese restaurant was very good. The gym was well equipped and only drawback to it was it didn't open until 9am. Staff were extremely polite and helpful and the room cleaning service very good. Would definitely stay again.

  Staffs are very kind, accommodating, courteous and very good customer service from guest relation staffs, concierge, housekeeping and the rest. They have very good and complete amenities like swimming, gym, covered parking, playroom and penthouse. I really love to stay in Al Safa Royal suites.
