  Horrible hotel with a side of bed bugs

  The Al Jabal hotel looks okay from the exterior, but that's about the best thing that can be said for the place. It's location isn't ideal, on a main road in an insignificant area, with a fair amount of road noise in the room. The room itself was spacious enough but the toilet was leaking and the room door didn't close properly unless it was locked. The worst thing though were the BED BUGS. After waking up on the first morning with bites on my ankles I had my suspicions but kept them to myself, until that evening when I was lying on the bed and watched as a bed bug crawled up from under the bed and made a beeline for me. I informed the hotel staff who seemed surprised but didn't offer anything in the way of an apology or any kind of compensation. In addition to this, the linen in the room was visibly dirty from the moment we arrived, and the room was not cleaned after our first night - we arrived back from a long day out to find it in exactly the same condition we had left it in which is something I can accept in a hostel, but not a hotel. Overall this hotel was horrible, especially given the relatively high price they charge for what is offered.

  Value for money 2 star hotel

  Decent hotel for backpackers and travellers who just need a decent space for bed and bath. Convenient location ti drive around the tourist destination. Food options and room service not very good. Internet is very poor. Prices could be a bit less for a two star rating.Convenienlocation ti drive around tourist destinations

  Al Jabal Hotel

  Decent Hotel. 15 Omani Riyal off season but goes to 60 OMR during khareef. No coffee, water that is complimentary. No food bar. Restaurant takes time to process your food probably more than an hour. Salalah Garden would be the best choice if you will be visiting Salalah.

  Good value for money

  If you are looking for a low price, clean and decent hotel in Salalah, then I can highly recommend this place. The cost is ca: 15 Rial including breakfast for a double room (2 persons) which is affordable and sufficient.

  Last and Least option

  Nothing as such, it a standard hotel with basic facilities, front office staff was co-operative. WIFI was very good. Swimming pool was good but need to take slip from Front office every time we visit. - I had Dinner and Breakfast in my package, it was very basic Arabic buffet with very basic items.. - I called them several times for confirmation but no response , personally i sent my friend who stays in that city for confirmation and found their phones are out of order. - I requested earlier check in which they rejected - Check in time was 2 PM i went at 4 PM but still my room was not ready, they took 30 mins to ready the room. - They have given me twim room but I have booked triple room which does not have provision for additional bed as well. - I requested for change which they agreed readily which could have be avoided. - The given triple room had one 3 PIn socket( other one not working)which can be used for TV, fridge,laptop or phone charging any one at a time, if we use one others cannot be used. - Bathroom flush ( they rectified) and exhaust was not working, AC remote was not working. - Requested for 1 Hr late checkout which have been rejected as well.
