  Lovely hotel

  Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a night because we stopped in Oderzo on a bikingtrip. The staff was really friendly, and we had a really good time at the hotel. If you are in Oderzo, this is a really nice place to stay. And it's not too expensive either!

  Quiet stay in family place

  It was really nice stay in quiet, rural place. Rooms are good equiped and staff was really helpful. If you ask you can even eat scrambled eggs from hens cultured by the owners. Recommended for those who're looking for good place in that neighbourhood.

  Mixed experience

  First of all: This is based on on experience and should be a help, rather than critics! A friend booked for us this house in the neighbourship, because he hosted many family-members himself and had no more space. We were received friendly an brought upstairs into a small but clean room with the necessary things and a bathroom en-suite. There were clean towels and the common hotel amenenities like a small bottle of shower-gel, even a simple shower-hud - just what is necessary. On the first night, there was a birthday-part until almost midnight in they were increadible loud - no idea to get a rest. A business needs income - but I think, one has to decide, which business is the more important, if they act against each other. Viewing with the eyes of the birthday party, the celebration was great, suffering under that a guest with the need of sleep after a 7 hour drive and after 23h at night it was horrible. Next was: Things like pots and pans have to be cleaned after a party - and the rooms are on top of the kitchen - so the reader may guess what happend than. So far the things in the responsability of the hotel. When we cam to sleep at past midnight, we woke up at 4:20am from many "Gallo's" - chicken and cocks greeting the new day - endlessly !!! A neighbour is holding them and they annoy each person who wants to sleep. Of course we were not really fresh after just 3,5 h sleep, missed the normal brakfast-time. We informed the owners regarding these annoyments - but nothing at all happend! - No later breakfast, no change of room - absolutely NOTHING. On the next day everything finished more early, but somebody who wants to have rest more early can not count on that - there is always busy work necessary because of the restaurant they run as well. Next day we planned to have a normal meal - but... there was another birthday-group at around 1pm - and so we had the disadvantage of no choice for normal menues. A (very tasty!!) risotto was the only choice we had - I would have gone for semething else. The salad I ordered thereafter was just thrown together - no salad-sauce, no meat, no cheese, nothing! Just oil, vinegar, salt, pepper - I at it for the health, - but not with joy! We paid for two risotto, the saled, water, lemonade and a beer ( there was NO choice of beer! . just one kind of ) 31 - for Italy, for out of town and for "No other choice" not really cheap ( in another restaurant we ordered pasta with truffels, meat, vegetable, wine and coffee for 23 and VERY good ) Facit: The wife of the owner nicely excused the things ( really warmhearted ) and only a fool would not accept such an excuse. On the other hand: The full price was paid, not half of the ensured service given. More annoying: No steps were made to solve these bad situations - no offer of less payment, no change of room ( eventhough requested ), not even a glass of wine together - NOTHING - that is a poor service - and we(!) cannot advise to such a situation - eventhough the cocks belong to the neighbourship - they steel OUR paid night-rest!! ( and perhaps they were not there, when another guest reported of a silent place - 3 years ago - cocks grow fast... - faster then fairness and hospitality obviously. I am sorry for that - the house could be more and the owner-family have a base of kindness and friendlyness - but with these cicumstances? No way!! Karl

  Cute hotel in a very old town

  My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while in town for a wedding. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The first night, we didn't get into the airport until 11:30pm, putting us in Oderzo after midnight. The staff had left keys for us to let ourselves in. The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast as we'd think of in the states. The room was very clean. The double bed is two twins pushed together, but was fine. The mattress was firm. Only one pillow each. The bathroom had the usual products though no lotion. Good water pressure in the shower and huge towels. There was a safe in the room, also a tv. No refrigerator. The AC worked well thankfully as it was quite hot while we were there. The free breakfast in the morning was great. They cooked us scrambled eggs with ham. There were also pastries, croissants, juice, coffee, fruit and yogurt. It's a short walk into town, about 10-15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

  An excellent value for the money

  This was my second time at hotel Al Gallo, and again I found it satisfying. It's not a fancy hotel, but it gives an excellent value for the money. My room had a strong air conditioner, which is mandatory in August. Breakfast is ok, and the dinner in the hotel's restaurant is yrev very good. I will return here!
