  Convenient Guest Lodge

  AL Beit Lodge 06-08 February 2019 We stayed at AL Beit lodge for 2 nights from 6th February 2019. Over the phone we booked with a lady called Bongi. Very friendly lady who made the bookings for us.She recommended the biggest room. Family room 3. As we had 2 kids. We were a family of 4. We took Taxify from the airport. Cost about R75-. We arrived quite early, although check in is normally 14:00. We had an early flight. So we arrived at the lodge at 11:00. Bongi welcomed us and we waited for about 30 minutes before she had the room cleaned and the guest staying in the room checked out. While we waited she arranged for us drinks and snacks. Quite good service you can expect at AL beit lodge. The rooms are very clean. And ours overlooked the pool with a small patio. Our room had a couch and was quite bigger than all the other rooms. Breakfast is included. A decent breakfast. Pretty standard. Cereals, fruit. Juices. Eggs made how you want. Sausages. Baked beans. Breads. Coffee. Tea and some baking. In the evening Bongi arranged for us some hot chocolate and muffins even though we didn't ask and it's not included . There isn't much to do in PE. We went to the Boardwalk once. And the beach we liked and visited which was close by was Shark Rock Beach on Summerstrand. Taxify is about R25 to the Beach or Boardwalk which is opposite the beach. There are lifeguards all the time from 9am to 5pm on the beaches. The one we used often was opposite Boardwalk. We had a bit of an issue with hot water in the lodge. So the plumber was called immediately and they asked if we would like to move to another room or just use the shower in another room. Fresh clean towels any time you ask. The beach is about a 500m walk or short Taxify/Uber drive. The lodge has a pool. They do have wifi. Secure parking Friendly staff Spacious clean rooms Decent halaal breakfast. No alcohol allowed Overall a good choice to stay. It doesn't have beach views as it's on a side street. But I will stay again here if I do go to PE again.

  A Turquoise Tranquility

  This turquoise haven welcomes one on arrival with open arms, the staff are always kind, friendly and very efficient. Close to town, beach and shops are a convenience. Rooms are delightfully big, spotlesssly clean and showers enormous. The sparkling pool invites you to "take a dip" which was very refreshing, breakfast tailor made to suit everyone and delicious coffee to boot. For me, however, the staff at this establishment are the treasures and I send my congratulations to them, they are stars, keep shining brightly

  Lovely place

  Amazing place Lovely rooms,cozy beds.lovely food fully halaal and delicious . Excellent service.Spacious bathrooms.the staff are very friendly and helpful.albeit is family friendly and kids friendly .

  Excellent place like a home away from home

  Stayed here as a family of 4 during December vacations for 4 nights in a family room. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom was also spacious and clean. The only suggestions for the room is that a 2 seater lounge chair be included in the room as there is space for it and there should be a safe in rooms to keep valuables. The staff are fantastic and the lady who makes the breakfast and bakes the yummy cakes and cupcakes that are available throughout the day and night is brilliant. All food is strictly halaal. It is close to the beach and town. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again when in Port Elizabeth. The only other suggestion is that perhaps they should have a list of all halaal eateries available and also brush up on the tourist attractions in the area and surrounds so they can be even better.

  Great staff

  Staff are amazing and very hospitable however some additions could made to the breakfast menu as well as adding certain stuff in rooms such as an aircon or barfridge or mirror or even a dustbin to make it value for money
