  Lovely hotel on the lake side - with a bit of extra attention would be excellent

  We stayed here as a family for 4 nights in August 2015 - 2 adults and 2 young children. We had a lake side 1st floor room - double bed and sofa bed for the children. Reception check in efficient and friendly. Parking is free and bikes can be stored n the underground car park. The rooms are very clean and well decorated - reasonable sized with balcony. Bathroom was clean and modern. Staff are excellent and very friendly - big plus. The wifi is included and was fast - big plus. The view from the hotel is lovely. Downsides: When we were there is was very warm 30 deg C. There is no Air Conditioning and even leaving the windows open the room stayed extremely hot and sleeping wasn't easy. These rooms needs A/C and based on the price they should have them. With the windows open there was quite a lot of noise from the restaurant until after midnight. The morning was also noisy with church bells, deliveries etc. I would have closed the windows but the room was so hot and there was no A/C of course. The shower head would not stay up and had to be held - a bit frustrating and surprising considering the fittings were good quality. The fridge in the room failed to work so we could not have cold drinks. They tried to fix it but did not succeed. In their defence we were offered cold water bottles. The breakfast was okay but could have offered a bit more exciting range of items. Nothing to complain about just nothing special. Okay this was a lovely hotel with great views and great friendly staff. The chef does great dishes. The downsides for us were enough to spoil our visit which was a shame. I would visit again if some improvements were made but couldn't heartily recommend it until then.

  A very pleasant hotel

  We stayed for one week in July. The weather was hot so AC would have been handy, but with the windows open it wasn't a problem. Our room was very large (although our companions had a much smaller room). The hotel is located on the edge of the lake with beautiful views across to Switzerland. The food is excellent and in warm weather, dining outside is truly a wonderful experience. I believe the hotel is family run and all the staff are very pleasant, many of them speaking English. The WiFi has been said to be poor, but we must have caught it on a good week as we had no trouble although it was a little slow. We would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel.

  Nice vacation hotel

  Clean rooms and friendly staff. Onsite restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. Located directly on the lake, boats are moored just out the back doors. Centrally located in the city center near all local attractions.

  Very well run and quality focused Hotel in a fabulous location

  We loved so much about this hotel, the staff are particularly welcoming and helpful on reception, the location is fantastic being next to the Bodensee, rooms that are recently refurbished to a high standard and are very comfortable and the terrace restaurant to enjoy breakfast, which is self help buffet style to a good standard. Bike hire very reasonable and the hotel guest tax actually gives to something extra, free rail and bus travel we found very useful. Altogether a winning package!

  Excellent Service

  We just stopped over to have come coffee and a beer about dusk. There are so many waiters, that we've been asked several times about our desire. The service was quick and again very friedly! So we could say nothing about their hotel-business = but it's more than worth to visit their bar!!
