  Lucky Afternoon :D

  We came in after a day of shopping in the area, mainly to exchange currency for an upcoming trip... I pointed out a cool Alfred Hitchcock slot machine, BF put a bill in and within 5 minutes had doubled his money... so we cashed out and left Cool casino with very nice artwork. They still have a smoking section that can get pretty smokey. Clean washrooms!

  Great place

  Amazing casino/resort . 1500 slot machines,!very clean up to date. Hotel is 1st class. Everything under 1 roof , good restaurants . Highly recommended and ideal for a short getaway. Even a brew pub on site.

  Constant changes with machines

  Freeplay is a JOKE!!! Constant changes with employees, management and machines! It seems they have the slots set so tight that while you are there most people are unhappy. I was there on a night where you could not find a slot machine to play. They have 1800+ machines. In a 6 hour period I only heard 1 jackpot announced for a couple thousand dollars. In that same 6 hour period no one around me or within hearing distance hit anything. After losing several thousand in a 1 month period I signed myself out of the casino. I did not want to be able to go back for a period of time as I never seem to win. They announce many winners on there website but when you look close at many of them they are mostly the VERY HIGH slot betters that win and it's not necessarily a jackpot since there bet was high($5, $10, $20+) per spin. Yes they have some small bet winners but I nor my friends never seem to see or hear them. I went back to the Casino after about a 5-6 week break. The casino decided that I did not deserve any freeplay for the month of December since I had not gambled during my sign out period. I am a grey card so I was shocked. They told me they use the previous 2 month play period. I told them I was only signed out 5-6 weeks so I do have play. They admitted to me I had play but still refused to tell me why I would not receive freeplay. They kept changing their story. It seems most people who work there do not have a clue when you ask them a direct question. I spoke with the Winners Club as to why I would not receive free play for December and was given all sorts of different excuses of why I would not receive freeplay. And yet, they still were not sure. I spoke with a Slots manager that same day and was shocked that he had no clue how the winners club worked. He was also very uninterested in talking to me about my concern over the poor machine payouts. Let me say this, it's a nice well layed out casino. The Maple Room Restaurant is good. There are some very nice people who work there but some do not seem happy. There motto is the everyday winner. FALSE! It's a casino, it's the everyday loser. There payouts seem to be the lowest I have ever seen or heard about from any casino I have visited. ALL my friends complain about never hitting anything. We RARELY see anyone win more than a couple hundred on a slot machine. We only hear about it thru the casino's website or there announcements over the intercom. Then again, are they announcing today winners or last years winners. ONLY the casino knows. With so many people complaining about the casino and no one ever seeming to be happy, other than a few who may have had a few drinks(which by the way you have to pay for even when your playing), or the so called announced winners that you never see, you have to ask how they are able to remain open? Most of my friends have stopped going even if I tell them we have a free room to stay, they still do not want to go as they always lose. I was there on a Saturday night, I arrived around 11pm. The casino was 90%+ empty. I looked around and even said to the front desk person who checked me in, where is everybody as it was a Saturday night. I gave 2 stars for the casino, 1 Star is meant for the machines. 3 Stars for the Maple Room, layout and rooms. Bottom line, DON"T gamble. It is actually possible to lose 100+ times in a row on a machine without a single win. it's the server that chooses the winner not the machine. Rooms are good and the Maple Room restaurant is good. If you go into the casino you will pay for everything including your drinks. This is a good place to go out for dinner or stay overnight in the hotel. If this was a hotel with a restaurant I would give it 4 stars, but the casino drops it way down for it's constant changes and low payout machines and lack of free drinks while you play.

  Not home of the everyday winner

  Go somewhere else anywhere else. The staff are 97% absolutely miserable and ignorant. Actually the staff that are the nicest are the people that serve you the drinks in the buffet. The slots are not good. But thats besides the point. Mostly everyone that works there walks around with a chip on their shoulder. The chairs at the machines are the most uncomfortable chairs ever. It never fails I end up with a sore back every time. They make enough money they could invest in better chairs. The new sticks aka rapids, the staff are horrible I dont think Ive seen people hate their jobs as much as these people and great now they bring you your food to your table even more reason for them to be Pissy. I heard a slot attendant speaking to a elderly couple like crap and they truly didnt understand but he continued to not be professional. The food In the buffet is gross. They need either better cooks are more budget for the restaurant. Stop cutting corners you charge enough per person.

  Just noticed that starting in March the weekend comp money offer is lower than the weekday offers now! Most offers are not combinable whats next parking charges, the slots are tight and this will just piss off players with lower weekend comp offers nice job on losing more players!
