great hideaway for fews day trip at KrabiI went there on the end of April 2014 with friends (5 Bankokian) The resort is closed to the kayak/boat pier. It is a private trip to nearby island by local boat day by day for example Koh Puk-Bia, Koh Dang, Railay beach/lagoon and many more. My dinner was at Aka-Nak restaurant. Thai seafood style is recommended. I had a good vacation in Krabi. I am from Bangkok metropolitan.

Uniquely Amazing Thai HospitalityThe outstanding feature of our stay at the Aka Nak resort was the hospitality from the staff! At meal times they always put in extra effort to please us- going out picking fresh flowers for our table and arranging candles in the evening- and would walk us back to our room with a torch or umbrella in the evenings. This resort is comfortable with a lovely pool, but the real value lies in how the staff help you organise activities that really make your holiday. Our first activity was kayaking- right from the dock at the resort. We paddled with our guide Somchai through the karst and mangrove, seeing monkeys playing in the trees above us and very beautiful scenery. After the kayaking trip they provided us with a multi-course Thai lunch. I love kayaking, but have never kayaked like this before; a unique experience. Another activity they arranged was our day trip on a long-tail boat to Hong Island and two other islands. Having a private boat was certainly the way to do this as some of the islands get busy (we saw one boat land and take 10 minutes to unload, another 10 minutes queuing for lunch...) and we could manage our time for the most scenic and least crowded locations. Next time I would start at sunrise to avoid the tourists (like us). During this activity we enjoyed our packed lunch of Pad Thai, a large tray of fresh cut fruit and an esky of icy water and drinks. They really looked after us! The staff have local knowledge and also showed us around some local spots which we couldn't find in the tourist magazines including a fresh water stream that meets the ocean in a mangrove. We also visited a pleasant beach about 15 minutes walk from our resort where the resort has a sister establishment with Western food. The restaurant at our resort serves Thai food, but they also prepare good pancakes for breakfast. We learned on our last day to ask about the fresh catch of the day- and enjoyed an excellent Thai fried white snapper. Excellent! I understand that the manager of the resort is a trained chef, and has clearly invested considerable time in ensuring the Thai food is excellent and the staff receive lots of training. This is a small resort that differentiates itself through service and hospitality. The location is a little remote from town but perfectly located for kayaking and trips to Hong Island. It is very peaceful and quiet while enabling an appreciation for the local lifestyle.

Krabi escape and adventure!I bought room package with all inclusive of meal, round-trip airport transfer, 1 day islands tour (private tour with tour guide), kayaking. It was worth and very comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Overall area was quite from city and had great view where you could chill out at the restaurant. The traditional Southern food was superb!

Safe and SoundNice place to choose if you need the peaceful trip in Krabi with good staffs and all activities included (i.e. Room, Food,Day-trip, kayaking, sceneries, snorkeling ). Btw they didn't provide the Wi-Fi in the room and the public pool is not clean.
