  Highly recommend staying here!

  We stayed at the AKA Univercity City location for extended periods of time during my husbands cancer treatment at Penn Medicine from October 2020 to Feb 2021. My first point of contact was Carla Caboni. She was so accommodating by showing us a 2 bedroom apartment before our longer stay to make sure that my family would be comfortable in. She was so helpful in setting up our stay by giving me familiarity to the city and making us feel at home. Carla Caboni answered all of my questions and made wonderful suggestions to help our transition, it was just like having a friend in Philadelphia! She also set up accommodations for our caretakers as we needed extra rooms. Carla and the rest of the staff have gone out of their way to make our stay as convenient and as comfortable as possible. The building is secure and impeccably clean. I felt very comfortable with all of the covid safety protocols put into place. Theres a great view of the city from all angles of the building. We used all of the wonderful amenities the building has to offer. My kids especially liked the movie theatre and pool. My husband and I used the gym quite a bit as well. The great views this building has to offer, like the sunrises, sunsets, and night time cityscape were something we look forward to on each of our return stays. Beyond being a beautiful building, the entire staff at AKA are polite, welcoming, helpful, sociable, and professional. I can not say enough good about the entire staff and how much they contribute to the amazing environment at AKA Univercity City! I would highly recommend them to my family and friends again and again as Ive already done. Its the best place to stay while in Philadelphia!

  Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

  There are not enough words to thank AKA University City for our recent amazing 1.5 months stay with them. We had to stay close to CHOP during this time due to frequent treatments for our child and due to her compromised immune system (AKA University is only 7 minutes drive from CHOP!!!). Carla Caboni and the entire Aka University City staff helped us in every way possible and turned this otherwise stressful time into a real vacation. Nothing that we needed or asked for was not fulfilled. They actually have anticipated most of our needs and did everything to make this stay easy, safe, and luxurious. We truly felt at home there. Given the medical situation of our child, we sometimes needed bedding changes in the middle of the night; the staff at AKA did that with a smile and with no issue. Also, if we ordered food from outside and we asked the front desk to bring it up to us, they will help us with that. The hotel itself, its facilities, and the rooms we stayed in are luxurious. We fell in love with AKA University as soon as we saw the place. We have traveled around the world quite a lot, and we can confidently say that AKA University is up there in terms of service, luxury, and attention. From the beginning, Carla was sensitive to our situation and accommodated all special requests Because we are 4 people (needing three separate rooms), we took rooms 35-19 (the most amazing penthouse) and room 35-18. The rooms were ready for us with everything that we needed (even 3 desks so we can all work/do virtual studies). AKA University City follows all the safety COVID measures that CHOP recommends (if you are a patient at CHOP, you get a discounted monthly rental rate). From the minute we entered our penthouse apartment we felt like we are on vacation. All the walls in the apartment were covered by windows, so basically we did not see any wall, only views. You can see all Philadelphia from every corner. The views were spectacular, we could see the sunrise, the sunset, and even the spontaneous fireworks on New Year Eve from hundreds of houses around Philadelphia. If you have a car, the parking lot right across from the AKA is truly amazing. The manager of the parking lot is a true angel; it was so easy and comfortable to deal with him and he was so understanding; there are truly good people in Philly. Thank you Carla and all the staff at AKA University for an amazing time; we truly appreciate everything.

  I love this place!

  The property is absolutely stunning! The 28th floor (amenities floor) is by far one of the best places to work/ swim/ gym during the day. If you stay here, theres a high chance you dont even have to leave the building to get everything you need. Carla helped me move in here and she is such a delight to work with. She is professional, smart and knows exactly what shes doing. If you want to move in for a longer term rental, shes the right person.

  Above and beyond

  We needed to be near CHOP and we needed a flexible start date for a monthlong rental. Carla at aka Apartments University City effortlessly made that happen for us. She is the best. I cant say enough about how friendly and helpful all the staff were including the front desk, the doormen, the housekeeping staff and 28th floor staff......everyone! The apartment was immaculately clean when we checked in and was a beautiful place to stay. The 28th floor with the gym and pool was a bonus. This is the place to stay. And the views are amazing. Thank you to Carla and all the staff.

  A MUST STAY- Thank you thank you!!

  I wish I had enough words to describe how incredible the staff and property are for the AKA University City. I first stayed for work for about a month and a half in 2020, and remember telling Tony that I would be back... and here I am! The entire process of starting my lease was such a breeze, with some of the friendliest people to help guide me. I needed an immediate lease, and within days I was living at the AKA. Every question (yes, even the stupid ones) were answered promptly and with a smile. From Evan making it easy to choose the AKA to live in, to Carla helping me every step along the way (even with my late night texts and emails.... girl you deserve a raise with how annoying I am! you're the best!!!), this was the best choice I have made in the craziness of the last year. As a dog mom, it's so easy to take my pup on walks around the area, and he loves making friends with everyone on the staff! It's incredible to have all of the little details taken into account- like in room laundry and trash rooms on every floor. The AKA University City was the best, and easiest choice, I could have made when choosing where to live next. If you have the opportunity to stay at the property, make sure to check out LEVEL 28, which has everything from a pool to workout rooms to an incredible office center. To the staff at AKA- Thank you guys so much for everything you do, it does not go unnoticed and it is appreciated more than you all know. Such incredible humans inside and out. I love being excited about where I live everyday when I wake up!
