  Necesita renovación

  Se nota que este hotel ha tenido una gran calidad; gran lobby, habitaciones espaciosas con terraza, salones de reuniones, buenas cafeterías... El paso del tiempo se ha hecho notar y habría que actualizar sobre todo las habitaciones en cuanto a mobiliario. Sin embargo, el equipamiento del hotel es bastante bueno: piscina cubierta y otra exterior, pequeño gimnasio y restaurante con buena calidad. Está un poco a las afueras, pero casi siempre hay algún taxi en la puerta. Es muy tranquilo.

  Old soviet hotel , at swimming pool also

  At swimming pool, no space to change clothes with lock. We saw a man intentionally opened door at ladies' place without lock in order to peep inside, pretending not known. Toilet is one one at each of lady's and men's. Although we asked for 500ml water for starter, but waiter brought 1 little with double price, which was not on menu. So we did not want to buy anymore. All prices are 6, 7 times higher than in usual shop. In such old and average-level hotel??? Swimming pool itself seems not so long time after repair and is relatively clean and shallow place is suitable for kids. Hotel reception is helpful and taxi arrangement is quick and affordable.

  Mala opcion para estar en Bishkek

  El hotel es ruidoso todo el día. Por la mañana la música de la piscina se puede oír desde cualquier habitación y a partir de las 18.00 hasta las 6.00am se puede oír la música y el ruido del roof restaurant situado en el último piso. Nivel de inglés pésimo por parte de la mayoría de los empleados excepto en la recepción, donde en general son muy amables. Lejos del centro aunque es fácil conseguir un taxi. Desayuno pésimo, las mesas no se limpian entre un servicio y otro, si algo se termina no se repone y los camareros no te entienden si necesitas pedir algo. Café soluble de calidad cero. Las habitaciones son amplias aunque muy viejas, ropa de cama deteriorada por el uso, el baño necesita ser renovado, el mando de la ducha estaba roto. Muy mala relación calidad precio. Se ve que fue un buen hotel en su época, hace más de 40años, pero sin duda el precio es desorbitado para los servicios que ofrece hoy en día. La piscina se paga a parte y la piscina interior no tiene agua. El restaurante de arriba es independiente del hotel, ambiente snob y servicio exageradamente lento. Clientes desagradables. No recomendaría nunca este hotel.

  Disappointing

  First of all the good points: - Staff were polite and helpful - Bed was comfortable - Breakfast was good - Hotel appears popular and vibrant with a young clientele. - Inexpensive - Plenty of shops/restaurants a short walk away The negatives: - The hotel is dated - It is about 4km from the city centre, so in practical terms this means taking a taxi (cheap but you will have to haggle, especially on the return). - There is an additional charge of 700 Soms (9) per day to use the swimming pool. If you book and pay in advance using a booking engine, be prepared to have to pay all over again in cash when you arrive. The Internet promotion and reservations are contracted out to a separate company, and it seems that there is a breakdown in communication and invoicing arrangements between the hotel, agent and Internet booking engines. The result is not very customer-friendly.

  Not impressed.. old communist hotel

  We spent 3 night here booked by an agency for us. At first we though it would be a treat considering the 4*. In reality is more a 1* hotel. Rooms are old, paint shows a faded colour, carpets old and look dirty even when clean. The furniture is old and damaged and so is the bed. I had 2 different rooms and were no different. Same story in the bathroom where everything that once was white, now is yellow. No soap at a 4* hotel, just a half used shampoo tube. No slippers, bathrobe. Only some rooms have mini fridge and air con. No minibar. Old school key for the door. Rust stains on the sheets. The only good thing about the hotel is the balcony views over the mountains. The reception staff is helpful and there is a storage unit for luggage. Breakfast is decent but not excellent. Terrace and pool seems to be ran by a different company and is overpriced and with very poor service. After asking the waitress to bring me 3 different drinks I had to go to the bar and see what was in stock eventually. Overall disappointing considering the price of a room. Quite far away from the centre as well. Must use own car or taxi. There are much better hotels at lower price.
