  Trip to Sweden

  Great room with a glassed bathroom a little surprising. Very goog breakfast. It is a pity we stayed only one night on the road to Sweden. The personnel is very nice. The hotel has a parking but there was no place. There is a parking in front but at 8 am you have to pay it.

  Christmas-Timeout with Wellness and Spa

  It was a first time not to celebrate Christmas at home; a special offer let us to the A-Ja-Resort in Grömitz. We had an excellent room in the most upper floor (4th) and enjoyed the holidays. The special offer included Breakfast Buffet, a 10 rebate for the dinner buffet and free entrance for the "Grömitzwelle", the marine water indoor-pool which lies next to the hotel; the hotel also offers a Shop of "Nivea-Haus" with Wellness-Treatments and Nivea-Products all around. The restaurant and the food were very good, except we missed a little "Christmas-Atmosphere"; except white linen on Holy Eve there was no decoration at all.

  Nice hotel with good rooms and service

  Had a stay in Aja hotel during the Hanseboot in Neustadt. Hotel was booked through the company. Rooms are spacious, clean and have a nice setup. We only had breakfast but that was good and tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

  Expectations not met

  We wanted to spend a cosy weekend together and found this hotel in the nice and small village of Grömitz. The spa is nice with seaview and part of the public bath next door. At the beginning it was a bit hard to find your way through the tunnels of the hotel to the spa. Overall we missed guidance, we got reservation for dinner and waited in front of the restaurant but no one picked us up. The food was good quality but it was standard meals, which is a bit disappointing since the 'event dinner' was announced big. The wine was average but expensive. The rooms are spacious, but the bath is only separated via a wall of glass - so you can see and hear almost everything... The hotel is well located in the center of the town, next to the promenade and beach. It has a nice style but not in all parts of the hotel - the restaurant and the lounge are beautiful while the corridors looked rank. The staff was always friendly and tried to help but it felt it needs some education. It is an average hotel which generates high expectations on paper but didn't meet them finally. Therefore it is too expensive.

  Just average

  I was expecting a lot more at this hotel. I found the room to be very basic. There is no soap or shampoo or face cloths. Each room is given a bottle of body wash. You have to pay extra for a room with a view of the ocean/see. The breakfast was on the 5th floor. Breakfast consisted of eggs(hard boiled and scrambled), bacon, bread, fruit, yogurt, cheese. You can also order an omellete. The hotel is central right on the promenade. One thing I found interesting about the room was that there was no end tables. There were curtains in the middle of the room around the bed on 2 sides. The bathroom is different. There is a sink, toilet and shower. However it is all glass and not privacy. The only privacy is if you close the door to the toilet. There are no balconies with the rooms. On the 5th floor you can sit outside and have a drink.
