  Business travelers: read this

  This airport hotel is good for those who absolutely need to stay near the airport. If you need an onward journey inside Germany, you need a train station, and that's 20km away and into the Paderborn city area, so might as well stay there instead. Going to the train station can be by bus or taxi. Taxis take a little while to come to the hotel. If you're not European, get ready for the infamous skimpy beds with a tiny pillow and a tiny single blanket. Personally I despise that and can't sleep well that way. The room itself is basic but clean. The shower is great. Breakfast on site served from 6am-10am and just okay. Everything is fresh, but they don't replenish, so if you got there after the scrambled eggs ran out, which is a tiny container to begin with, tough luck. You can probably fill up on other things which are mostly cured cold meats and cheeses. The bread and croissants are super fresh and very tasty. The WiFi is free but the login is a pain with an initial general password, and then daily vouchers for a 2-device max. For such a place that's out of the way, who else but customers will try to 'ride' the WiFi? Just open it up to a general password and make it simple. There is nothing much more, it's a basic spot for airport goers and it does a good job.

  Stay for one night

  We stayed here for one night to be at a party. Hotel is close to highway Dortmund to Kassel. It's clean, most of what you need is there. Rooms have sufficient size. Good parking and WiFi, both included. Staff is efficient, like the atmosphere. Good breakfast.

  Excellent food

  I stayed at the hotel because I wanted to learn about the SS (Schutzstaffel) ideology center and school at the Wewelsburg castle which is close by. I was very impressed by the excellent food at the hotel which I was told was made by a chief from Hamburg. The service of the hotel staff and my room was also very good.

  Great place!

  We were coming from Egypt and our flight was super late (23 hrs), so there were no trains to our home (on another German city). We decided to stay there and it was the best decision ever. Very comfortable hotel, nicely decorated, a fantastic breakfast (even though is small, the selection and quality is so good!). I think its a good decision to spend the night there and then resume your trip. Its money well-spent and you will be rested and refreshed.

  Very decent hotel for business travelers

  Stayed here a couple days for work. The building looks anything but impressive from the outside, a concrete block with the weirdly simple name 'Airport Hotel' in big letters. However, inside its quite cozy, warm and inviting. The bar/restaurant area is nice and they serve good food for a decent price. The rooms (and hotel in general) are very clean and have everything you expect from a business hotel. The bathroom is of good size and offer a good shower. My only problem with the room was the bed. It wasn't a normal double bed. It's two single beds pushed together, which I personally do not enjoy. Also the mattress was too hard in my opinon. The breakfast food is good but the variety of food is a bit lacking if you compare it to similar price/type hotels. But in general I'm quite pleased with the overall state and quality of this accommodation and would therefore recommend it.
