Took my money but didn't have anyone on hand to book me in!Booked a night at this hotel as flight into CDG arrived the day before my flight out. Arrived at hotel by taxi at 6.30 pm, but the gates were locked, the outside lighting off (bar the floodlights over the gates) and no-one in attendance. No answer to repeated calls over the intercom. No notice to indicate when, or indeed if, anyone would be coming to welcome me. Rather than risk being stuck out n the middle of nowhere on a cold night and no means to call a taxi if no-one did show, I asked the taxi to take me to a real hotel where I booked in for the night and caught my flight out the next day. And the Airport Hotel had the nerve to charge me a no-show fee ! (now reversed with the intervention of booking.com) despite advising them of why I didn't book in. Not convenient for air travellers, service non-existent...

**AKA AIRPORT HOTEL THROUGH BOOKING.COM**This is basically a campsite but with brick buildings instead of tents!!! If you are ok with that then this review is not for you. I'll keep this simple - we arrived, viewed 2 rooms and then got an Uber to a different hotel - it was that bad. No aircon. No clean sheets. No facilities (couldn't but any food or water but could order a takeaway from a local kebab shop). The cobwebs and 2 huge SPIDERS were too much for my wife & daughters and we had to leave. Oh and both rooms smelled of damp / chemicals. It was truly awful.

Not Nearly As Bad As ExpectedOn previous overnight stays at CDG airport, we have booked hotels closer to the airport, on the ring road with its convenient regular shuttle buses. On this occaision however, all hotels in that area, within our budget, were fully booked. After doing a search, the Airport Hotel (AKA Hotel Balladins), was one of the few, in reasonably close proximity to CDG which had rooms available. We read the reviews which were for the most part, extremely dismal, but thought wed give it a try anyway. We were arriving on the TGV at CDG Airport station, but after reading about the fickle nature and unreliability of the hotels shuttle, we decided to pay the extra and take a taxi. The cost for a taxi to Mauregard, the village where the Airport Hotel is situated, is a fixed 35. You may have to wait a few minutes for a driver who is prepared to take the shorter 35 fare to Mauregard, as opposed to the more lucrative Paris trip at 55. This was the case with us. The driver who was first in line called out to the other drivers behind him to see who was prepared to make the shorter trip. It took only a minute for someone to accept. It was about a 15/20 minute drive to the hotel. When we arrived, the gates were closed and we thought Uh oh, here we go!, but the driver got out to press the intercom button, and before he did so, the gates opened. On arrival at the front desk we were greeted by a friendly clerk who spoke a little English. We enquired from her about the shuttle to the airport in the morning and paid the 7 in advance, for which we were given a receipt. We were told to be at the shuttle outside reception at 7:50 am. As many other reviews have stated, the restaurant was closed, but we were prepared for this as we had our own food. We were told that there was a coffee machine outside, but we did not seek it out. Ditto the spa which also looked closed. Our room was simple; spacious and clean, and the bedding was fresh. The bathroom was a good size and clean, though the floor tiles in the shower could have done with some extra scrubbing. Two liquid soap sachets and two bath towels was all that was provided. There were no hand towels or wash cloths, but for the one night, we got by with the two towels. There was a soap dispenser in the shower stall. The sliding bathroom door sports a nifty little porthole... There was a small wall-mounted TV in the corner, with limited basic French channels, a hair drier and a safe. There were two bedside lamps. The loud bright green walls are perhaps not to everyones taste but matched the aviation-themed art print above the bed. After checking in, we had enquired at the front desk about going for a walk and gaining access back through the main gates. The receptionist gave us a code for the front gate. We went for a lovely walk through the entire little village of Mauregard, which is neat and tidy with some very attractive houses, both old and new. There were no shops to be seen, though there is another more upmarket hotel in the village which appears to have a very nice bar and perhaps a restaurant, though we did not enter. After a pleasant 45 minute walk we returned to the hotel. The code worked and the gate opened. Wow! (Other reviewers reported being stranded outside) Back in the room we had our sandwiches and beverages which we had bought at the station earlier. All this time we were expecting some kind of calamity, or doom and gloom scenario as per many of the previous reviews. Meanwhile we had a perfectly good night's sleep. The next morning the shuttle van was there as promised, and with about six other passengers we were dropped at our respective terminals. In some reviews others have commented on an excessive number of cars parked at the hotel. This is puzzling as the hotel is pretty similar to the design of classic single-story American motels. Strips of rooms in a U-shape with a parking area in the centre. The vehicles parked there were all in designated parking spots and there did not appear to be an excess of cars. When all is said and done, this place is bare bones basic accommodation. It could definitely do with some TLC, and good management. It is certainly not the Hilton, nor the Holiday Inn. But after reading the horrific reviews on many different websites, we were expecting something far, far worse than what it turned out to be. It IS in a remote area and is surrounded by farmlands which is pleasant enough. Considering its close proximity to the airport there was not a lot of aircraft noise on the night we were there. The most memorable part of our overnight stay there though was the walk through the village of Mauregard...

last minute accommodation needed CALL THIS HOTELThis hotel is in the airport area. Our flight from Paris to Rome with Air France was cancelled last minute. We were able to get a booking on booking.com but the reception had closed. When we arrived, there was a self-service check in but that needed to be confirmed prior to the reception closing which we had no open with our red eye being cancelled. Luckily there was an emergency number to call. The guy who answered spoke little English and thank goodness he was the owner. He let us in allowed us to pay by cash and was totally accommodating. Our room had a queen bed, free wifi shower toilet and tv. The room was only 55. In the morning the owner was still lovely & friendly also allowing us to check out at 1130 which was a later check out. Highly recommend if you get stuck with a cancelled flight and the airline does not help with accommodation.

Would not recommendWe booked this place through booking.com where it is called Airport Hotel. We had booked one night for 2 adults and 3 kids when we arrived at Paris CDG before going further afield for our holiday. We called the hotel for the shuttle bus and were told it would be 20 minutes. It finally arrived after 3 phone calls and a 90 minute wait. By then we were tired and hungry. It took far longer to get to the hotel than anticipated It's advertised as having a restaurant but it was not open and we were given a takeaway menu. No other eating options nearby at all and only one pizza takeaway (with some pasta options and nuggets for the kids). It is basically a motel. The room door opens straight into the car park. The room was reasonably spacious for the 5 of us but it was grubby and a bit shabby. There was no air conditioning or a fan. We had an awful night's sleep as we didn't feel safe leaving the window open (it had no latch so it was either wide open (on the ground floor as no upstairs in the hotel) to a car park) or closed. The female staff member was very kind and opened the "restaurant" for us to eat our takeaway food in. I'm glad it wasn't open to serve us food. It was very small and did not look very inviting. She also sold us some bottles of water. There is a vending machine and that is it. Take food with you or be prepared to wait ages for average pizza. It is also advertised as having a spa. We didn't see in it but I have no idea what could have been in it as it was tiny. We would not stay here again. We have cancelled the night we booked for the return leg of our journey.
