  Excellent Value for money Bed and Breakfast

  We arrived late on a Saturday evening and had a welcoming and fuss free check in. We had a twin room on the top floor overlooking the cricket ground. The bathroom was a little cramped but clean and the rest of the room was spacious. We did have some issues with the hot water in the shower but this was a minor inconvenience. Adrian cooked a lovely breakfast in the cosy breakfast room and is a very friendly host. The location is perfect for exploring both bays, the castle and of course for cricket fans.

  Fabulous hosts

  This is a B&B with the most fabulous hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are due for renovation this year and it was a little tired but nonetheless comfortable and homely. The hosts own 2 pubs nearby both with great music. One for younger people and one a local, again with good music. We had a great breakfast, our bed made, and clean towels as often as we needed them. Looking forward to the next visit x

  Fantastic break away

  would highly recommend stopping here. I stopped for a long weekend last weekend and loved it. the room was clean and tidy and I loved the decor. The breakfast was really nice and the food was clearly of good quality and there was plenty that I didn't need to eat very much at all for the rest of the day. Adrian was brilliant and really made you feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. will definitely be stopping again.

  Diabolical customer service!!!!!! AVOID!!!!!

  Me and my girlfriend went to Scarborough for a family weekend in may. The room was booked in advance and we arrived around 11am for a 2 night stay and was said the room will be ready around 2pm as we expected so we got our key and went to meet family. We arrived back around 3pm to go to our room as we were walking up the stairs to the top floor room it smelt of dog which wasnt very pleaseant. We opened the door to our room and was instantly hit with the smell of bleach which was that unbearable that the windows had to be opened straight away. The room was nothing that we expected as we were expecting rooms looking like the photos on here, its was far from it. The decor was extremely dated and definetly needed a touch up with paint, also the bed was very uncomfortable.as we was going out for a meal we went to have a shower thats when everything kicked off. We had no towels in the room so I went downstairs to there office to ask for some and I was greeted by the dog sitter as he put it as the owner was at B&Q. To be told we will have to wait 20 mins for him to get back, but I asked for some now as we needed them. So he went into the back and got us two. When I got them to the room they were filthy as seen in the pictures. Me and my gf took them back downstairs to exchange them only to be told they are clean as theyve just came out of the dryer. The guy/dog sitter was extremely rude and arrogant speaking to my girlfriend. He rang the owner who was 10 minutes away from the guesthouse, when he was on the phone we heard the owner say there not moaning are they.then we got told to go to the room and the owner would meet us up there. The owner came and spoke to us upstairs and I opened the door to I heard your unhappy as we replied, We were not expecting this room as its not the room which are advertised in the photos, and we went downstairs to get some towels and we took them back as they were dirty we got a reply back if you dont like it LEAVE we dont have unhappy guests here. So I said Your kicking us out due to complaining about dirty towels. He said I just want you to leave. The owner spoke to us (the customer) like sh**. And there was no need for it. As we were outside in the rain trying to find a new room to stay in. The owner came outside to apologise that he gave us one on of the worst rooms they have and hes sorry for kicking us out and speaking us like that because hes had a bad week. As my response was there is no need. Disgusting place and disgusting staff would never ever go back and would recommend to anyone!!!!!!!! AVOID!!!!!!

  this hotel is ok

  this hotel is OK for a night or two rooms are small and basic its approx a ten minitues walk in to Scarborough on the south side i cant comment on the customer service as i very rarely saw any staff where the street parking is poor
