  Cheap but terrible service

  We prepaid our stay on booking.com, but we were asked for paying second time and have to argue with the staff and show them internet banking bills. They even not apologies. BTW they are not accepting credit cards, because their terminal is broken and they offered us 20 % worse EUR exchange rate for your payment. Whole hotel equipment is fake - electrical cables in the corridors, unfinished rooms, the only telephone is in the toilette etc.

  it's all a lie

  I always check the hotel internet site before booking. It was noted that there is a/c in the rooms, as well as minibar and safe. That it is a new hotel in the commercial area. It's all a lie. There is no a/c and when I complained they tried to make me feel better by upgrading me into a mini suite. Also no a/c. But I saw a small fridge, so I said okay. Only that didn't work either. And, no safe, not in the room or at the front desk. And, by the way The Air City Hotel and the Royal Congress Hotel are the same hotel. Breakfast was okay for the first 2 days, but is the same each day, so I was already tired of it by the 3rd day. So, don't even bother

  No milk at the whole hotel

  At first we got wrong room but woman in the reception changed with apologies. One time we went to have coffee to the hotel bar and we ordered two cappuccino. Well, there was coffee but the man in bar said there is no milk at the hotel. What kind of hotel don't have no milk? And as well no hot water from hotel room shower ...

  Don't do it!

  I went to Kiev for two nights only in December 2016 to collect a sick friend who could not travel alone back to Dubai. Choosing this hotel seemed OK for my purposes, as it was close to the airport and not expensive. Everything on the booking.com website suggested it was a reasonable place, not high class but clean and functional, so I booked two junior suites for two nights. I had a bad journey to get to Kiev. In mid-flight from Dubai, it was announced that Kiev airport was closed due to bad weather and we got diverted to Odessa. After the chaos that prevailed at Odessa airport, we were finally transferred to Kiev by bus, a journey of almost 500 km and taking nine hours! So finally, 20 hours after leaving Dubai, I get to Kiev and looking forward to a drink and a rest. The Air City Hotel is actually part of another building called Royal Congress Hotel. In any case, it's not good! First, there was no heating in the rooms when it was -8c outside. The ignorant clown sat on reception however was very comfortable, surrounded by electric heaters while the hotel guests were freezing! No relief available from hot water either. Shower and bath water absolutely frigid! Despite being tired AND cold, I headed to the bar for liquid relief instead, only to find a bar with no beer or spirits and a barman who could not care less! Internet was too slow and bed did not have enough covers to keep warm. My complaint to the ignorant receptionist was just a waste of time as he was too ignorant to even argue with. So...two lessons learned from this trip. 1...Don't travel to Kiev in winter! 2...NEVER stay at this hotel again!

  You get what you pay for

  This hotel is located in the same building as Royal Congress Hotel, but there was no signage for the Air City Hotel anywhere outside the building. You get what you pay for. Internal room on 3rd floor - window looked out at some "rooftop" and other internal rooms just a couple of meters away, almost within reach of each other. VERY thin walls - could hear every word from the room next door. The cheapest beds I've ever slept on - plastic legs, not supporting the weight, very unstable and wobbly. There was no phone in the room - first time I've been in a hotel room with no phone, so could not even call reception. Bathroom clean and OK. The only plus - it less than 10 min walk to the airport!
