Bring Google Translate with youThe staff speaks basically no English at all and makes very little effort to overcome that. (Having the Google Translate app with Italian downloaded for offline use on your mobile phone can come in really handy here..!) Breakfast OK, the point-at-pictures menu is key here. Originally booked 1 night, then changed the reservation to 2 via hotels.com several weeks before arrival; the staff did not know about that change. Sorting this out without a common language was a bit challenging. No response to email inquiry (English) about shuttle service or late arrival. Aircon worked first night, not the second. Wifi worked part of the time. Dinner is served from 20 so if your kids are hungry before that, head off to the mall some 10 min away.. More "this and that is forbidden" signs than "welcome to have a relaxing stay" type of messages.

Couldn't find my ReservationMade a reservation through Hotels.com on 27 September 2015 for the night of 6 June 2016 through Hotels.com and received a confirmation email on 27 September 2015. Arrived at Agritourismo Nonna Rina on 6 June 2016 only to find that the Agritourismo staff didn't know about my reservation. I showed them my confirmation from Hotels.com. After approximately 20 minutes of searching their records and attempting to communicate using a mobile phone translation app, they showed my me a room that was dark and smelled so strongly of disinfectant that it caused headaches for my wife and me. At that point, we told one of the Agritourismo staff that we were leaving -- and left. fortunately, it was still early in the afternoon and we were able to find an alternative accommodation. I'm not sure where the fault for the breakdown in communication between Hotels.com and Agritourismo Nonna Rina lies, but I would not use Hotels.com or stay at Agritourismo Nonna Rina again.

Nothing Special--not a true agriturismo experienceThere was none of the character or charm you'd hope to experience in an agriturismo. It was basically a motel situated in a corn field. The animals were far removed and the food was disappointing. For breakfast, for example, they served me a burnt omelette. There are many warning signs all over the property of things you are forbidden to do. The bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo, etc.) is an extra 2.50 euros. The staff was not particularly nice or welcoming. In fact, an old man yelled at me at one point. I think this deserves one star, but it's clear that the people who run it are so local and inexperienced it seams mean-spirited to do so. I just regret staying here. People who have given this good reviews either A) have not been to a good agriturismo or B) expect to spend a lot of money for lackluster accommodations anywhere close to Venice.

Good value for moneyWe were travelling by car in the direction of Venice. We wanted to stay more in the country side and go from there 20'km to ST Marco square to park, this worked really well. The B&B is basic, only Italian spoken, clean, spacious and friendly. The breakfast was basic and we did not go for dinner. Very suitable for large families!

A negative experience from start to finishOn arrival, they couldn't find any trace of our reservation, and I notice from other reviews that this has happened to others as well. It shouldn't have mattered, because the hotel was far from full, but they spent a good 45 minutes trying to establish that we had not made a reservation (even though we showed our confirmation email from Expedia). Finally, they gave up and showed us to our room. The room was quite reasonable, although there was a half-eaten yogurt in the refrigerator. Dinner was a frustrating experience. We were presented with choices for primi and secondi piatti, which we made. They served us only what we had chosen (no antipasti, no dessert), even though they were included in the price of the meal and there were no choices to be made in those categories. When we asked why we hadn't received them, they said we hadn't ordered them and shrugged. Throughout dinner, one of the staff sat with her toddler son at one of the dining tables in the restaurant, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at full volume throughout the meal. Breakfast was completely lackluster. There was a plate of plastic-wrapped pastries on the table, and you could order from a menu of different types of eggs or lunchmeat. My omelette was a rubber yellow sponge that I only ate a single bite of. The staff was very rude throughout our two night stay, with the exception of the cleaning lady, who was lovely. We had so many dirty looks from the staff, and we have no idea why. I had such a lovely experience at the agriturismo 'Cascina Carenna', and this place just doesn't come anywhere close to it. There is no indication that any of the food was made on site, there are no pigs or chickens anywhere in sight. Dinner was a few strips of beef with red and green peppers - tasted more like Chinese food to me, and certainly didn't show off any exceptional culinary skills. I don't like to complain so strongly about a place, but I also was completely uncomfortable at this place. They just didn't seem to know what they were doing. At all.
