  Great for a quiet family holiday

  We really enjoyed our 2 weeks at Agriturismo Ninea with our 2 teenage post exam daughters. The staff were exceptional from staying up to greet us at 2am (because our bags had got lost) to waving us off 2 weeks later. The chalets were quiet and well equipped and the pool was not too busy and big enough for a good swim. The real bonus for us was the twin resort Baia d'Esolie that guests also had use of and was on the beach 4 km away so we had the best of both worlds.

  Good quiet rural base to discover Calabria

  Just spent 2 weeks in Ninea with my family (kids aged 5 & 3) and had a wonderful time. The agriturismo is great; the most incredible views, wonderful pools, great rural surroundings and only a short drive from the beach. Food is good and very reasonable. Staff are SUPER friendly. Our house was basic but very spacious and were well positioned to ensure enough privacy from neighbours (Ninea has about 20 houses). I would however suggest that the owners a. change the mattresses on the bed (old and springy!) and b. better equip the kitchen... The location is also perfect for people looking to explore Calabria and its breathtaking beaches. I would suggest Tonno (left not right side after the car park) and Formicoli to those looking for a free beach nearby. If you can, avoid the central weeks of August - the beaches are jam packed and not fun :-(

  Beautiful structure

  Beautiful setting, essential but well-finished structure, very well cared garden. The half board - even though we didn't go for it as we had a baby - is cheap and the food is very fresh and of good quality. Some people would find it too essential (for me it was perfect for a relaxed stay). The only missing thing was, in my opinion, mosquito nets for windows. During my time there there were some, nothing unbearable though. The kitchenware is expectedly also quite essential, so I recommend you inquire about it in advance.

  Great peacefull location with some minor remarks

  Great location, an oasis of peace in an very busy outside world. Great pool, great view Staff was not really friendly, matras on the bed was poor (springs in your back) and there were too little kitchen essentials.

  Beautiful location - cute cottages

  We're spending two weeks here - and I'm glad we're here for all that time! The place is just beautiful - very well maintained with cool plants all over the place. And, an absolutely huge pool overlooking an expansive view of the sea including the volcano Stromboli off in the distance. This is a very peaceful place - no TV! We've found the staff to be very friendly and responsive. We don't have a car - so we're a little limited in our exploration of the surrounding area. It's about a 20 min walk into town - but we really don't need to leave the property if we don't want to.
