  Lovely peaceful place

  Lovely 3-night stay for our family of four. Daniela was very welcoming when we arrived and we were immediately shown to our interconnecting rooms both of which were spotlessly clean with nice décor and lovely views. Nothing was too much trouble and Matteo gave us some good advice on local trips and train times. We did the Medici route and ended up at Lake Bilancino where there was a little beach with inflatables the children could play on with a nice beach bar. Train into Florence from Borgo was really convenient avoiding any parking issues. The pool is beautiful at Topaia and we had a delicious, good value dinner. Daniela's cooking is wonderful and she was kind enough to give us a pot of her fantastic apricot jam when we left. Our girls enjoyed playing with the puppy, Mario. We all loved this place and would highly recommend it.

  Really great place to stay

  La Topaia is run by a lovely family' is very well kept and nice and also centrally located to visit Borgo San Lorenzo and surrounding area. Our rooms were very nice and super clean- bathroom was new and great. The breakfast was delicious too... Great place to stay!

  Relaxing and serene family run property

  We stayed with Daniela at La Topaia for 2 nights and what a wonderful property, we had been travelling through Italy on 2 motorbikes and wanted to visit Mugello and you are literally about 3 miles away from the racetrack. La Topaia is a very quiet and peaceful place, we actually had the place to ourselves the first night and stayed around the pool area and watched the sun set. The rooms are quite large with a very modern bathroom with shower and there is also a plug in fan as you can imagine it does get quite hot in the rooms. Breakfast was lovely and you could smell the croissants being cooked, fresh orange and the usual tea/coffee. Borgo San Lorenzo is also close, with a very good supermarket if you want anything to bring back. Would stay here again, great location and lovely place

  Lovely 2 night stay on family farm in beautiful rolling scenery.

  Daniela, Michel and Matteo are a hospitable, welcoming family who speak French, Italian and English. Comfortable room, great shower and a lovely pool. A great place to unwind. Good food in the restaurant and a breakfast that sets you up for the day with fresh fruit and home made cake. It was also rather special to drink their own wine. A very relaxing end to our two weeks in Italy. We were touring by bus and train and Matteo very kindly dropped us at the station at the end of our stay.

  Pleasant farm stay

  We enjoyed a lovely stay on this working farm run by a hospitable and friendly family. The location is close to Borgo San Lorenzo, from where a regular train service runs to Firenze. It is also very close to the Mugello MotoGP track. Rooms are quite big, with traditional décor and modernized bathrooms. Matteo is very helpful and we enjoyed a delicious traditional dinner cooked by his mother, Daniela, with some local wines and grappa to round it off.
