  Priceless Italian Country Experience

  This is a review from a trip i took this past summer in July of 2013 with my Fiancee. Everything about this place is perfect (except for the GPS directions to get there haha). The hospitality is top notch, the facilities are very well kept, and on the top of my list was the food. Any agriturismo needs to have 70% (I believe that's the number) of it's ingredients grown in the farm. The meals we had were absolutely amazing. Dinner is a genuine experience Mantovano. We were offered assistance in English but we chose italian because we wanted to practice. They were extremely helpful and well connected with surrounding attractions. This is suitable for both a short get-away or a long repose. Make sure to have the Tortelli alla Zucca...pure indulgence. We will surely return!

  A Farmhouse Vacation

  Stayed for three days to attend a nearby wedding. Paid by someone else so do not know if it is good value for money. Pros: Very well designed and updated property. A working farm. The owner is very pleasant, helpful and speaks good English. A great farmhouse, good for children and if you like farmhouse vacations. Adequate, plentiful breakfast... continental, also ham and cheese and cooked eggs on request. Some weekends maybe lunch/dinner. Convenient drive to Mantova. Bicycles available. WiFi is adequate for emails etc. Cons: Beautiful but middle of nowhere location, car absolute must (taxi will come from Mantova but will cost 30 Euros to pick up), GPS essential. Tap water smells, so have to use bottled water for brushing teeth, not much service to speak off, a fridge, kettle and microwave in the communal area, no bar/restaurant. AC adequate but subpar by US standards. Mosquitos in summer In brief, if you want a farmhouse vacation, small charming Italian villages with good restaurants,you will like this. But do not expect a full service hotel. .

  Lovely hotel, but lack of air conditioning ruined our stay

  Lovely countryside hotel, in a beautiful and very private location, surrounded by woodland. The owner is very pleasant and helpful and extends a warm welcome. She prepared a lovely breakfast with eggs and ham every morning. We stayed during the European heatwave of August 2018, and unfortunately the air conditioning in the room did not work. We left it on all night, the owner tried to fix it, but still a red light flashed on the unit. She said she would ask her husband to look at it, but alas to no avail. We struggled to sleep, it was so uncomfortable. Obviously, the owner could not predict the weather, but it rather spoilt our stay.
